Coming to an arena near you in 22 games. How in the hell do the defending champs get such a cupcake schedule to start the season? 17 of the first 21 games at home. Did Stern move to LA or something?

Quit hatin fellow Steelet fan! lol. You do realize that this means when the season comes down to crunch time we will be on the road right?

The announcers touched on our home/road schedule last night and I tend to agree.

We have an extremely favorable schedule to start AND finish the season. An easy schedule up front allows us to build up some momentum and also to get Ron some confidence (while he integrates) so that he knows his role when the tough stretch comes. Towards the end of the season when we have a road-heavy schedule it will pay dividends in the playoffs as we will be more battle-tested and mentally prepared/focused. Of course we're a veteran team so we should know better, but that will keep us at the top of our game.
