As competitive as Kobe is he understands this is a business just like many other players. In this league you need as much competitive play as possible for it to survive and Kobe understands this. I can tell you Kobe probably has given legit good advice to other NBA players besides Ariza in the past and present. It's just not Kobe and the Lakers because at his role it's more like Kobe and the NBA..

No, outside of LeBron, the team isn't that good. However, they've made improvements this year.
