Kobe is having an amazing career and will end up having one of the best legacies of all time. Not only by the numbers, but because he is/was/will be one of the most polarizing players the nba has seen.
But Michael Jordan. What can we say about Michael Jordan. 5 MVP's, 6 titles and 6 finals MVP's, 10 Scoring titles...this list goes on...11 All NBA, ROY, DPOY, 2 Time Dunk champion. Not only did he have individual success, it all lead to his teams winning championships. How was that even possible? If we were to design the prototypical SG from scratch, he would not be as good as Michael Jordan. As great as Kobe has been and will end up being...let's not forget what MJ has done.
Now, with that said, even if Kobe wins 3 more rings with the Lakers, he would not have 5 MVP's or 6 Finals' MVP's. Therefore, I still would not put him ahead of MJ.
Go Lakers!
Maybe Kobe is kinda like Mike

If the Lakers STEAL Lebron James this summer (for Bynum and Vujacic), Kobe will finish with ten, possibly eleven rings.
