I can't believe how quickly things changed.
It appears that as soon Vujachick has a a couple of decent games he is now EASILY better than Fish
... man ya'll are trippin ...
Who would you rather go to war with? Which one is a leader? Which one is not afraid? Which one has the heart?
It damn sure aint #18 -- "and give Hot Rod Williams his number back"
I feel you alls frustration and I would never say a word if people propose starting Brown or Farmar but punk ass Vujachick ... ya'll are trippin.

I ain't trippin.
I never said easily better. I said specifically right now I'll go with Vujajic.
Go to war with? Fisher. Leader? Fisher? Not afraid? Fisher? Heart? I'd say Vujajic actually, I don't see him missing a beat as far as effort, it's results. It puts a ridiculous strain on Kobe and the rest of the team to have a walking liability starting because Jackson feels comfortable with him.

When it counts, EASILY give me Fisher over Vujachick who has never done anything in this league besides knocking down a bunch of jumpshots in his contract year when he was never able do it before -- and can't do it consistently now.
Vujacic is weak minded. He is only on our team because he chose to focus himself long enough a few seasons ago to earn himself a FAT contract when his back was all the way against the wall.

It always counts. From the first minute of the game to the last it counts. Outside of crunch time give me the player who'll play defense. At the end though it takes intestinal fortitude.

In the NBA (and baseball too), unfortunately it doesn't.
It really counts in the end.
Give me the guy who bats .212 in the regular season but bats .280 in the playoffs with runners in scoring position and a couple of game winners
over the guy who hits the same average in the regular season with more homers yet in the playoffs shoots blanks.

Re: Update on Kobe?
We already have a framework for the type of veteran that Fish is. The type of veteran that goes through the motions until the playoffs.
That guy is Robert Horry. It's not an accident that Horry, and Fisher, and Shaw have all consistently hit big shots in their careers.

We can play Vujacic the first 47 minutes, you should be fine with Fisher only getting the last minute since that's all that matters right?

I can't believe what I'm hearing.
When did Vujachick become better than Fisher? Last game? Two games ago? When?
There's no effin way, and you all know it, that if you all were captains on a "one-game" pickup game and had to decide between Fisher or Vujacic that you all would really run with Vujacic.
If you all are saying that then we can just agree to disagree but if you all are saying something diferent then please explain.

Are you looking at the Fisher during the 3 peat? In 2008? Because ever since last year Fisher has become as much of a liability as Sasha. Only difference is Fisher can make a last second shot here and there while Sasha gets the spotlight for underachieving because of the contrast between his plays in 08 and 09. This year's Fisher has been as bad if not worse than Sasha. His FG% is at an all-time low, he can't play defense, he's failing even more on his layup attempts with no intention of stopping, so what does he provide that Sasha doesn't? Leadership and leadership only, and that can be done without being on court for 30 minutes.
Being a better player for a longer time doesn't make Fisher a better player now, and right now I'd take Vujacic if asked who I would want to play more, and that's a tough decision because both guys are sucking at a high magnitude.

EXACTLY!
So given that, I go with the guy who has a history and reputation over the guy who has done NOTHING.
I really think most of you all are basing this on Vujachick's play over the last few games. If this is true, I wish some one would just say that Vujachick has played better over the last three games so he should get more minutes.
To that I would say: Brown and Farmar deserve those extra minutes before Vujachick. Three or four games of mediocrity does not beget hundreds (literally) of games of GARBAGE. Dude is a punk. Even in his one good year he was a liability:

Give me Fisher over Vujachick on Fisher's worst day. Vujacic hasn't shown me ANYTHING consistent -- ever. Maybe you all are trying to say that Vujacic has the better potential because surely Vujacic hasn't seperated himself from Fish.
Thank GOD we have two other guys on the squad better than Vujacic who can take minutes from Fisher. We really should be talking about them (Brown and Farmar).
