There's a reason he's the logo.
I've always thought the same thing. Bring Bynum off the bench and let him punish the other teams second unit center. Odom and Gasol work perfectly and we hamstring ourselves at the start of games not putting them together.

Did we not just win a championship with them playing together? Jerry needs to step into retirement, not every thing he says is gospel truth, he's made some errors in Memphis, he's not perfect.

Re: Jerry West just said Bynum and Gasol together wouldn't work
The Lakeshow won the title last year because of Kobe, Pau, Odom, and Ariza. Bynum was averaging less than 20 minutes and scored a whopping 6 points a game in the playoffs. The pre-injured Bynum was the one who made a great difference on this team. The one who had no problem getting double digit rebounds, play defense, and finish possessions quickly, not the current limping Bynum that is doing less and less without the ball and is becoming a blackhole when he does have the ball. Why people still think Bynum is a major contributor on this team is beyond me.

jfar, I see and heard different. Pau is excellent at it, but AB17 doesn't run the break well. I was Phil who said it, we want him to RUN...

Thus is true, he has made many mistakes in Memphis and the Lakers but you still have to really RESPECT his opinion.
I, for one, think that he has a GREAT point. It's not hard to see that they don't have chemistry.
If something isn't done, they'll still win but BOTH players won't flourish and reach their TRUE POTENTIAL. This usually means one will be really upset.

Yeah I said that before this season and I didn't know Bynum would lose half his quickness over the year.

^Overstated. Don't you think?
Bynum needs to pass better and Gasol needs to shoot that jader more when he plays with Bynum
Gasol has to hit that jumper because teams give it to him and he is more than capable.

One of these guys needs to play major minutes with the 2nd unit and that's for sure and if either does play atleast 10 mins with the subs they need to get 6 - 8 shots from isolation plays alone. there's no reason for players like Farmar and Shannon to look away from the post when they are in there.

You think Drew will get that explosiveness and speed back or is this going to be as good as it gets?
There are things in his game that he needs to work on such as passing out of the post rather than just trying to score each time he touches the ball. He can work on these things over the summer. It would make him a much better post players. I think he just plays with a lot of confidence about being to score on a lot of these guys.

Bynum's ups looked really good last couple of games. I hope this carries into the playoffs.
