being in control the entire game with your best players on the floor is not luck, its being better.

Tell that to the dudes over on the general board. Whenever the Lakers will a close game like today its always the refs or always that the other team played better and should have won. Only way the haters go away is if its a blowout.

Two things I noticed about the game:

1) The fans at Staples were so unenthusiastic it was pathetic.

and

2) Why are we missing so many dam free throws?

Box score and highlights of the game for any of those who didn't catch the game. Lakers weren't that awful from the line, kobesmyhomie. We made our free throws when called upon which is all that matters. The bench was at fault for most of the missed attempts if you're going to point fingers.

I just would like to see this team develop some sort of killer instinct, you know where you DONT give up double digit leads when you clearly dominating almost every statistical category.

I don't think that's gonna happen in this series until Gm 5 or 6, and only if we're tied 2-2 leading to Gm 5. Just the make-up of these guys we have. You rarely seem to see a team with that habit actually winning a championship.

If the lakers could focus for 48 minutes this would have been a blowout.

Wow, Boozer, Millsap, Fesenko, Kufos, did not attempt one free throw all game.

So Utah a team that tries to get layups didnt get fouled a single time from their PF/Center spot. Not a single time.

Fes and Koufos are not ft drawing machines that is correct. But Are you not a little suprised that boozer and millsap didnt attempt 1? Or any PF/Center from teh Jazz rotation?

watch the game? boozer was shooting jumpers and turn around fade aways all game. gasol/bynum/odom barely shot 6 ft's (not counting gasol's last two off an intentional foul).

jazz shot 21 ft's, lakers shot 27, and thats with like 6 intentional ft's at the end. heck, with the jazz being the most foul prone team in the league and the lakers dominating the paint, lakers should have gotten a much wider margin.

Ehh don't worry about it, I'm sure we'll be royally screwed in Utah........it all evens out.

Plus 6 FTs in a home game with 4 freebies to stop the clock at the end is very fair.

If you want to complain, you shouldve been begging the refs to call one on Odoms crucial Off rebound where Boozer took his head off. No call meant a put back and game clinching 2 for LA, whereas FTs instead for Odom may have been the better option for the Jazz.

Guess it was make-up for them missing the goaltending by Milsap a couple minutes earlier on Odoms layup that hit the glass first.

Wow so touchy. I was just commenting on how your bigs had a perfect game when it came to defending without fouling.
