People are upset about this? Durant deserved some first place votes, Kobe shouldn't have gotten a single 1st place vote.

Two guys voted Lebron 3rd? I have no faith in humanity. The level of idiocy prevalent in the media has reached depths that I never thought possible.

I wondered who #2 was, Durant? Wow, that just goes to show me that it's a scoring league, not only to the fans, but to the voters. Kobe or D12 #2, but Durant, c'mon he's not even a complete player yet.

This would be my top three without hesitation...
1. A steady diet of HGH and Roids Cereal got me back to back MVP's
2. D12
3. Kobe Bean Bryant

Although I'm a KD fan, I think he is a bit hyped and overrated. Can't believe he was actually voted second.

Lebron James did deserve it though, he put up some impressive numbers. I don't care though, he can have as many regular season awards as he wants, I know Kobe will still be the Finals MVP. :)

I agree... the MVP voting is just a media popularity contest. The Cavs had the MVP and the best record in the NBA last season. But the Lakers brought home the Larry O'Brien Trophy. So, lets hear it for the Lake Show doing it again this year.

The Mvp race was really between Lebron and Kobe but once the Cavs pulled away with the best record in the NBA the media just decided to give it to Lebron. Durant was the surprise but he's young he wouldn't have gotten it and Nash already has 2. Lebron deserves it though I don't have a problem with him winning it again.Either way Kobe was playing hurt most of the season its hard to say he played better this season than he did last year because of the injuries.

As good as Durrant appeared to play, I still think Westbrook was more valuable to that team and its success. They both were, but to me Westbrook's improvement was the engine that made them go and his ability got Durrant a lot of easy buckets. I don't know how many times I saw highlights of Westbrook grabbing and rebound or getting a steal and getting out so fast and then just giving it to KD for a dunk so he could keep his 25pt streak alive.
