Lmao Spurs played no defense at all this series. Spurs and Jazz overachieved and did Lakers a big favor by beating the physical teams Dallas and Denver respectively. From the beginning, Laker fans understood that physical teams have had the most success against the Lakers in the past few years (Boston 2008, Denver 2009). Phoenix may have a fast break better than OKC of this year, but ultimately the 2010 playoffs' best defensive team, the LA Lakers, will shut down the Suns.

Kobe Bryant and Ron Artest will shut down any perimeter play offered by Jason Richardson, Grant Hill, Jared Dudley, etc.

Amare Stoudemire has been excellent these playoffs, but he has not faced a triple tower line-up of Gasol, Bynum, Odom yet. You guys better hope Lopez returns from his injury in playoff shape.

But most importantly, Lakers have one thing going for them: motivation. Lakers are the only team in the NBA playoffs that creates its own weakness by losing focus and motivation. We're very fortunate to meet the Suns in the Western Conference finals, because Kobe Bryant is still seething over those 2006 and 2007 playoff series losses to the Suns, and the ridiculous 2006 MVP award given to Nash. The Lakers will be out for blood this series, especially Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom. Even our bench players like Luke Walton and Sasha Vujacic who remember those playoff losses will be extra focused to exact some revenge.
