i really don't get the people who say lebron doesn't have any help. they won 127 games over the last two years. they are good enough to get him two mvp's and the best record in the league for two straight years. he eeds to do what people claim he does and that's make guys better. jamison was a 20/8 guy. west is a starter for a few teams. he has some of the top three point shooters in the game. he has two dcent 7 footers plus a young stud in hickson coming off the bench. there is no excuse for his team to lose twice to lower seeds. i know he is young and i still believe he ight one or two but if he doesn't wi next year i will start having my doubt's. he will be in his 8th year with alot of mileage he doesn't have as much time as people think he does.

People underate kobe simple as that. They confuse gasols impact with kobe's impact. Before gasol kobe took a freaking borderline d league team FILLED with heavy injuries every year to playoffs in the west. Gasol came in and replaced these scrubs, of course his impact is going to look big its not that gasol is star level, tho he is great, its that we had utter joke of a team before, heck we were blowing out teams before gasol with bynum and fisher.

People thought jamison/shaq/mo, etc was their gasol, hello they took minutes from Z, Z is not kwame fing brown.

Lesson for LeBron and ESPN: To be called a King you must first have a Crown. Tiara's don't count.

All jokes aside, LeBron had a legitimate chance to win it all this year. Cavs was a potent scoring team with a major improvement on the defensive side. They had a more talented and healthier squad then the Lakers--everyone acknowledged this during the regular season but suddenly Lebron is bailed out by people crying that his teammates were mere scrubs.
Ahem... Mo Williams is a bonafide scorer at the point (Mo WAS a starter and arguably the best player on a Buck's team prior to joining Cavs). Shaq is playing 10 years younger and was still a force inside when given a chance--he's a better scoring alternative than having West and Mo shoot it from 20+ feet. Jamison is a quality upgrade who is able to give you scoring from midrange and around the paint. The Cavs had the best record in the NBA and held an advantage over nearly every team.
Every analyst acknowledged the keys that would eventually lead to the Cavs' first championship: Kobe was playing hurt, Lakers are not deep, Phoenix is merely playing at it's max potential and Boston was playing with tired legs going into the playoffs. Only team Cav's had to really fear were the Magic and their version of Superman and Vincanity. But a dynamic duo in Orlando was still inferior in height and skill to the team of Lebron, Shaq and Mo.
There should be No Excuses for their loss and yes LeBron should own up to giving away these playoff games.... Lebron is the two-time MVP and heir apparent to represent the league. He still had the opportunity to compete up to the final 10 minutes of game 6 but decided not to compete for what ever reason. If he was too injured to play he didn't show it--there were flashes of his old self making trong drives and back to back treys--but not enough. In the final quarter he suddenly lost focus, passion, courage or staying power--whatever it was he lost it completely. Not a good sign for someone who prides himself on being a competitor.
Not to say Kobe never lost a game for the Lakers--just that when Kobe lost he went down shooting and made it known he'd come back with vengeance. Kobe is a fiery competitor to the end. A player that makes you nervous to play with because he demands so much of himself and you. A player fear when you play against because he is relentless. He's a player who comes prepared to win and will lead you to an eventual championship because of his attitude and versatility. Lebron is a strong physical player with great size, vision and ability. Someone likened him to a quard--no way. The guy is a point forward AKA Pippen with the strength of Malone and the talent of Jordan. Let's not kid ourselves what sets him apart from all players will always be his athletic ability and strength to finish drives--not his ability to distribute the ball at the point. That is why game 5 and game 6 were such anomalies==>Lebron was playing too much a point guard role and unwilling to change the tenor of the game with his God given talent.

For those who believe LeBron does a better job than Kobe at improving their teammate's game-->How wrong you are. Kobe's relentlessness and intelligence rubs off on his teammates. True scrubs like Farmar suddenly develop confidence to make clutch shots and give up their body for plays. Gasol finally getting physical on both ends of the floor and looking so dominant because he's smarter and more confident being able to control the game with a setup man (Kobe) who sees the game at a higher level. He has come a long way since joining LA when the knock on Gasol was being 'soft' and not having the ability finish plays under duress. People forget how much Kobe contributed to the illusion of Shaq's invincibility breaking down the defense and setting up the easy dunks consistently.
True Lebron may lead his team in assists but how often was he able to set up Shaq inside when it mattered? The presence of a healthy Shaq should have been the key to beating the Celtics. His strenth and size was the great equalizer down low yet Boston outplayed them in the paint. Even HOF centers can be relegated to scrubs when continually taken out of a play by their teammates.
What was really out of character was when Lebron attempted to do Kobe's postup moves twice in the 4th quarter both times turning the ball over. Hey Lebron, tip for you "Do You".

I just hope people realize that it takes intangibles not just statistics to be great. And folks should also know that Kobe did more than ride on Shaq's coattail to get his championship and that with Kobe it all went back to something really special--being able to play match Jordan's plays when going head to head. Even the great Shaq was outsmarted by MJ on their limited 1-on-1 matchups.

in a playoff situation, i just dont see the cavs getting past orlando nor of course, the celtics. they just were not that good. and if we faced them, that wouldve been a blowout. in the end, we wouldve taken them down.

All this negativity is because the media hyped him up so much and constantly tried to brainwash people that the Cavs are going to win the championship. That is why Lebron's elimination is so sweet. Because the media has been defeated. At times the media can be far more powerful than everything else in sports. This Lebron elimination is a shocking blow to the media but those scumbags will now make more stories out of it.

Damn! Post of the year brother. Good point.

Individually Lebron is one of the best.

But in terms of getting the best out of his teammates he has a lot to learn. Just compare what Kobe did for Gasols game to what Lebron did for Jamisons game, Lebron also managed to make Shaq look like Jerome James.

wow

sounds like those guys who would call the lakerline and talk to matt money smith last year.
