Here is a GREAT stat from Game 1:

Suns Starters = 20 rebounds
Odom = 19 rebounds

they're probably busy trying to gather all the "questionnable/laker foul calls" so they can send to the league and voice their displeasure with the refs.....cause accorrding to them this loss was ALL on the refs

Somebody today in pre-game said these Suns are "statistically worse" than the D'Antoni teams. Ouch.

I hate when someone compares statistics from D'Ant's era to Gentry's. Teams have improved a lot in the west since.

Nice game from the lakeshow, particularly dominant on the boards (something the Suns even beat the Spurs in). This is from a Jazz fan, so take it how you will, but I was having a discussion with a couple of friends, and do you think Kobe dropped 40 this game, but never against the Jazz (respectable, but not dominant 30-35 pt showings) because...

A. The Suns played worse defense on Kobe than the Jazz. IE Wesley Matthews / AK > Hill / Dudley / Jay-Rich

B. Kobe deferred to the bigs in the Jazz series because it was like a varsity front court playing the JV "bigs" (pretty fair comparison imo)

C. Kobe was just due eventually to get it poppin, shots fell, dropped some treys on em, and at that point defense didn't matter.



Or some combo. Just curious.

Awesome performance. P.O.G. Kobe & Pau for sure! Jordan was terrible. He needs to find his game because i'm not so sure if all the games will be lopsided. There will be games from here on out our bench will either have to win for us or a major contributor.
