Ron Ron's time is coming

Post#1 » by kobethegoat » Tue May 18, 2010 10:06 pm

All season long Ron's been content to be a role player, playing good D but looking slow, passive and confused on offense. People, including me was maybe thinking letting Trevor go was a mistake, cause we missed his athleticism in the open court.

But now, with the chances of a rematch with the Celtics looking likely, is where the Artest signing can prove to be the signing of the season.

We got beaten up by the Celtics in 08 cause they roughed us up and we couldnt respond. Our bigs(Gasol, Odom, Bynum) are just too nice to retaliate to the Celtics douchebags known as KG and Perkins. I honestly believe this **** will not fly this year cause we have the tru warrior, Ron Artest on our team.

Ron lives for this type of series, he will enjoy the slower pace, he wont tolerate KG's and Perkins' ****, his toughness will rub off on our whole team and he will make Paul Pierces life a living hell.

Enough with the nonsense, K.G. isn't a thug. I'm sick of him getting credit as a tough guy from that 2008 series. P.J. Brown and Perkins are tough.

totally agree. should we make it with the celtics, that is where the move will really pay off. we do not have anyone who can guard paul pierce. 08 proved that. and when he gets hot, his size, weight, ability is a load for us to cover. but now with RON RON?? we can take him on and battle. we have lengthier guys to do something underneath with their extremely large frontcourt. we have kobe up top, but we dont have to waste his energy guarding pierce. but with paul pierce we had zero. ron is that answer.

I think so.

I just hope LO can keep his head because he REALLY want to lay out a few Celts. There will be at least 1 fight in the series and RON, LO & MBENGA are the favs to be in it. DJ doesnt take any ish. If he sees them targeting Bynum he is going to starts some Dshidt.

ron just needs to keep playing solid D like he has for most of the season. that's what he was brought in to do.

God damn hard to believe less than 2 years ago the "Space Cadet" was our starting 3.
Thank you, Phil.

I am not afraid of the Celtics.

Pierce killed us cause Vlade couldn't guard him. Problem fixed.
Eddie House always kills us because he's quick and shoot 3s like crazy. Problem fixed.
Cassell owned Fisher. Probem fixed.
PJ Brown's physical player really bothered Gasol. Problem fixed.

Oh yea. I remember Leon Powe shredded us into pieces in game 1 or game 2. We had no answer for him.

Posey was a killer too with his clutch 3s and his defense on Kobe.

I am not afraid of the Celtics at all right now.

All their advantages are now gone. The only thing left to worry about is the pesky Rondo. That's far better than 07-08.

The big man rotation was terrible. Odom and Gasol were overextended a couple years back. Garnett and Perkins could be rested, while Turiaf provided nothing against Boston.

Shannon Brown has proved effective running around screens after Allen and Farmar won't have to play all that much to begin with. Cassell destroyed him in game one in the post for a big swing off the bench. Vujajic is terrible now but won't play much.

Pierce regardless is not the same Pierce. He's excellent, but nowhere close. Rondo will be the problem. As his jumper goes, so may a big part of the series.

ummm....Rondo is a better player than 2-3 years ago..He's approaching superstar status. We will see. Let's give them some credit and stop making excuses on what we lacked. They replaced Brown with Rasheed. I still believe we can beat them but I'm a little scared.

Boston is the real deal

this could be one of the Greatest match ups in a long time if

Odom will show up. I think he has grown since 08. If Odom shows and we get some
good minutes from Bynum. I am predicting a 7 game series of the AGES. Tape the whole series
or record it.

I think exactly as mention Ron Ron will help change or even out the physical part of the
series.

We arent the same team in 08 that were just happy to be there anymore.

These guys, Gasol, Odom, Artest, even Bynum they are now playoff tested warriors .

Will be a classic series but we arent backing down no more to the Celtics. I think Kobe will end up being the difference, theres going to be no easy baskets in this series and nobody makes the tough ones like Kobe.

:D Thank you. People seem to forget that Trevor barley played in that series cause he was coming off of an injury.
