given that phil doesnt play rookies too much.. whoever we draft this late will more than likely end up playing more for the D-Fenders, not the Lakers. i say just pick the best availible talent and see if we can groom him into a solid player. our biggest aquisitions this summer will be through free agency and trades, not the draft

I don't know though before the tournament they said he wasn't going to be selected, now my Dukies win and they're talking about him. So much for secrets.

Willie Warren should be targetted. He will fall out of the first round and may be there at 43rd. If not, ATL wants out and we should go after this pick. Only Orlando may be interested in Warren and we may be able to secure the extra picks from Min or NJ, but I doubt that would be willing to helpLA. We may even trade with orl. We ahve good trading relatiosn with atl and orl.

Don't pick a C; get a shooter or a long defender. We need to groom a player like Ariza -- a 2d rounder with ability, but no game. We need a player that can be molded, not looking for points and a good practice guy. The improvement in Redick means Schneyer may be useful, but someone with more athletic ability may be a better fit. Needs are as follows: PG, SF, SG

Were ever the Lakers draft. That player will be a summer league guy and then be shipped off to Europe or released. Lakers need to buy a first round pick. The Lakers could loose 5 or 6 players off this years roster.

Lets sell the pick and use the extra mil to pay Kurt Hinrich salary

Fish
Luke
Odom
=key bench players

Let Farmar go if he wants more than 2.5 mil, let Brown go if he wants more than 2 mil w/ Hinrich
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

+1.

Doubt anyone we get at 43 would be able to make a contribution or even crack the rotation.
Thank you, Phil.
