4th qtr lineups

Post#1 » by dropbowsonem_25 » Fri Jun 11, 2010 9:19 pm

Phil has started the fourth quarter with lineups that dont compliment each other. When he plays brown, farmar, kobe, odom and gasol, it seems like we fall behind every game. I spoke about this in one of the game threads, brown and farmar bring a negative impact. they shoot and offer no defense/rebounding. add into that with odom playing some stellar ball  , we have the makeup for a loss. i also noticed when these guys are on the floor they either a:move the ball away from kobe or b:give him the ball in pressure situations(late clock). there is no reason why they should be trying to create b/c kobe is 10x the creater and finisher than either of them, just give him the ball and let him go. hopefully phil can look at the tape and realize that these players cant play together. sub out brown bring in artest, at least hes a threat for an offensive rebound and he actually tries on d.

the bad thing about brown farmar and kobe is this. farmar usually swings the ball away from kobe, it then goes to brown(who cant throw a post pass or dribble), when the ball gets to kobe the shot clock is down and he either has to force up or we get a bad possesion.

If Phil goes to the bench he has to go to the bench.

He can't wear out Gasol and Bryant.

i think we play our best when kobe brings the ball up the court with a screen at the top of the circle.

no one is saying dont go to the bench. im saying dont start brown and farmar. theyve been terrible together since the okc series. instead of brown, far,kb,odom, gasol, we can throw luke or sasha in one of their spots.

I think our best lineup offensively is

Fish
Farmar
Kobe
Gasol
Bynum

Our starting lineup is the best defensive lineup we have. I would start Fish until he is 40 if it makes Kobe more comfortable on the floor.

Lets face it

We need an 8 point cushion going into the 4th

We need to let our best players rest for 5 mins and play the final 7.

Heck the lead may go to 1 or even or we might even be down a point or 2 but we will win that way.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!
