there's not a single player in the nba that is great every day. you should go back and watch some more games. saying it was just this game makes you sound like an uninformed lunatic. maybe you are.

obviously given Kobe recent bad games, but when Fish is bad is he is bad on all aspects, defense to taking bad shots, I bet most on these boards were yelling screaming at Fish for those idiotics shots he took in the 3rd qtr, that deep 3, the contested 3 by KG, getting jacked by Rondo cause he was out of control, etc.

This again. :nonono:
We all know what hes capable of when it comes to clutch situation so this shouldn't be a surprise. I still don't see a reason to say sorry. Fisher is what he is and we can't change that. Big time clutch vet but I don't think he should be starting. I've always said that when its crunch time I would still have Fisher in over whatever point guard we might get this off season.

oh no doubt, I try and be as objective as I possibly can with the Lakers, and Fish does some dumb things at times (as does every player in the nba if you think about it). he was flat out horrible in long stretches during the regular season, to the point where i was calling for shannon brown to start.

i was wrong. i've already said this earlier in the thread, but he has had some of the most critical plays for this team, and we're not in the finals without him. he takes and hit big shots. he takes charges. he hits free throws. he was even playing solid defense last night, and is part of the reason allen went 0-13. as we know, defense is something he's been struggling with because he's been going against quick PGs with excellent offensive skills. he's still going to have bad stretches and even bad games, but he is without question the best option we have now, and is likely playing top-15-at-his-position basketball. 15 is conservative because i haven't really thought about it.

how many i'm sorry Fisher threads does it take before our own Laker brethren know that this is our best option at the PG slot stop complaining about what he can do and start supporting The Warrior Fish. I think some of our own are finally convinced in the Fish that saved LA ;).

As good as Fish was in the 4th quarter of game 3, he might have been just as bad in the 4th quarter of game 4. Nate Robinson went by him like he was standing still on a couple of drives to the basket. There is no doubt Fish deserves to re-sign with the Lakers in the offseason, but a serious effort must be made to find a PG over the summer. Would love to see Derek back as a backup and mentor to a younger, more athletic and defensively sound PG next season.

No fisher should do what he should of done at the start of last year and thats retire the lakers better not resign that trash. I also think its time for Phil 2 get the hell out of town 2. The guy refuses 2 play younger players and its hurting the lakers big time he is the main reason our bench guys suck. U cant jell with players if ur never on the floor together.

you know, I think you're right. we need higher draft picks much more than we need another stupid ring. it's not like phil has an 11th finger.

he's not the best point guard obviously, but i'd say easily the best role player on the team
