Kobe's hot shooting streak will tide us over

Post#1 » by MasterRyu » Mon Jun 14, 2010 1:38 pm

Kobe caught fire in the 3rd quarter, and I can see it still burning. It's really funny. For the first two quarters, it seemed like he didn't have any strength at all by just grazing the front of the rim. However, after that he seemed to have gotten distance in his shots. Plus, I'm starting to see the refs showing enough respect to finally call out fouls for the constant follow-throughs and elbow contact that Kobe draws.

Can't explain it, but I think Kobe will go for more monster numbers next game and I think Pau and Odom will also see increased productivity.

Oh..I still have faith in Artest' three's. just like how the Celtics should still go to Ray Allen when possible.

Dude can score 50, 60 we still won't win with him just playing. Artest can F$#%# off until he learns to shoot in rhythm and not stutter hesitate.

i also think that kobe is going to stay hot for at least the next game (and he'll need to if his teammates continue their pace)

also the celtics keep going back to allen because he is one of the greatest shooters ever, i have no idea why we keep going back to artest

NO....when kobe was hot in the 3rd the closest we got with the celtics was by 7-8 points I think.

kobe shooting those long contested jumpshots make it or not...are not good shots and just part of the celtics defense.

well what i meant is that i feel he will retain this hot shooting. of course, they are bad shot selection, but when you're in the zone, you're in the zone and nothing is bad shot selection. Of course, I said tide us over. It doesn't mean it will give us the win. The other part of the equation is getting stops. The reason we couldn't overcome the paltry 10-point defecit in the third is that we weren't getting stops. We were basically trading baskets. So our problem is not the offense; it's primarily the rebounding and playing good team defense.

NO. it would help sure, but kobe's shooting streak alone would not make us win this series, plain and simple.

and that is not what i'm saying. I said it will tide us over. The defense will be the second part to this. WIthout Kobe's shooting yday, we might've been down by 20 by the 4th.

I honestly think Kobe can win it for us, even if Bynum doesn't play. He's just amazing to watch.

I have faith in this team

But this isnt some Hollywood movie. The Lakers need to fight and make the Celts look old.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
