Would you agree if this game were played in Boston, there is no way they end up with 20 less free throws? Thus a one possession lose turns into a 5+ win?

watch the game again...........first off you'll see the lakers got the short end of the stick re/ calls in the first half...............but even then just go to the 4th quarter and come back and post which calls were incorrect. if you watch the game again, you'll see the celts were tired and a half step slow and that leads to fouls on the D end.

btw, i've watched the game a couple times and if you watch the 3rd quarter when the Cs still had gas in their tank, it's pretty much a foul free quarter (as foul free as a nba game can get). great D and not a lot of grabbing or hacking. the Cs got a lot chippier as they got tired............so the refs shouldn't call that?

I checked to see if there already was such a thread on this forum but was unable to find one. Considering it's such a hot topic and WAS the most talked about issue in the Finals, i'm surprised.

Fair enough, I'll have to go back and rewatch another time. It's difficult because of ABC/ESPN's banning of replays until the 4th quarter. Really odd

A little bit different than walking him up and down the free throw line for the entire 4th quarter right?

From a completely objective POV (Since I am not a fan of either team)

You guys didn't seem to mind when Leon Powe went to the line over and over again in 08, why now? There is a reason teams fight for HCA in the regular season, and this is one of them. Just like Leon Powe was great at drawing fouls in Boston two years ago, the Lakers were great at drawing fouls in LA last night.

And frankly... I didn't expect Celtic fans to bring this up... I imagined they would be classier than this. You don't make excuses like Doc Rivers did in the post game conference... you man up, accept that you lost the rebounding battle, accept that your team went through a scoring drought when it counted most, and congratulate Laker fans for a great series. But I guess that's just me.

the Refs were the most talked about issue in this series. Where? About everywhere except ESPN whose trying to make a buck off the whole thing. Let's be honest, they were the MVP's throughout for both teams. Which is complete B.S in my opinion.
