Need an athletic wing player out of the bench.

Resign Fisher.
Resign Phil Jackson.
Let Farmar go.
If Brown opts out, let him go.

Sign Travis Outlaw.
Sign Steve Blake or Roger Mason Jr.

Hope Sasha will play much better in his contract year.

i wouldnt mind outlaw, hes long and can shoot the three. masons role in SA deminished so he may be looking to prove himself again after playing relatively well the season before. many say blakes trip-dub against us was his "try out" for the team haha

every player has their pros and cons.. its gonna be an interesting summer to say the least. i just hope mitch does his job and does it well.. we NEED to get some key pieces on this team and i think we are just a few, relatively cheap, additions away from being even more dominant than we already were.

It's going to be a problematic situation if we can't get a guy that can slash to the basket at some point or the other. It'll take work but I'm sure they can get a guy like that perhaps through a Sasha trade.

any roster moves must begin with bench players. Phil likes Tall PG's.

1st- A sound backup for Bynum since he is obviously injury prone. (Jermaine Oneal , Brendan Haywood or Darko Milicic). This keeps Gasol at PF instead of C.

2nd- A proven slasher to bolster bench or a more productive PG.(TMac, Larry Hughes, Shuan Livingston)This allows for mismatches and for kb24 to rest more.

J. Oneal is not washed up but is no longer a starter. Like Ho' Grant he can provide some D and Boards. see bulls and lakers 3-peats.

Mcgrady and Hughes can both play the PG and would bolster team versatility like Ron Harper on the 2000 lakers team and alongside MJ in Chicago.

new line-up

McGrady/Fisher/Brown
Bryant/McGrady/Brown
Artest/McGrady/Walton
Gasol/Odom/Oneal
Bynum/Oneal/Gasol

McGrady wants to play for a championship and wants to start. This way he can do both. He can average lots of minutes at pg/sg/and sf and will not feel as though he rode Kobe's coat tail to a ring. keep fisher for the vets minimum to school Tmac on the triangle and to make the occasional big shot. Trade or dispose of any players not listed in this article.

The options aren't extensive to be sure but T-Mac would certainly be one name you're right.

Another possibility could be

- Vujajic for Bell
- T-Mac for half of the MLE
- Plus Kurt Thomas
= Plus Earl Watson

That would allievate bench scoring woes and give depth at a number of spots.

i seem to remember reading somewhere that the mle can not be broken up or divided between two or more players. the Bi-annual exception can. Tmac would most certainly demand the full MLE and garaunteed minutes. any other moves would have to made via trade or the draft.
