Obviously, we need a point guard. Hinrich would be perfect, but it seems nearly impossible now. If we could get him, we would be locks for the 2011 championship.

To strengthen our bench and 3-pt shooting, we should sign either Korver or Miller with the MLE. Miller seems to be the better option here because he can create his own shot and could back up both Kobe and Artest.

Also, these playoffs have proved that we need depth down low. When Bynum goes down, we simply cannot match up with larger teams with only Odom and Gasol. Shaq is actually a great fit, if he agrees to come off the bench for the vets min. It'll also reduce Pau's 40+ minutes, which is good for the long run and could prolong his career 1-2 years. Kobe wouldn't mind Shaq now that he has one more ring than him - now Shaq can never catch up. LA is also the prefect place for Shaq to end his career - Its the city which he obtained the most success, its where his jersey will be retired.

HINRICH/Fisher
Kobe/Sasha
Artest/Luke/Ring Chasing Vet
Gasol/Odom
Bynum/SHAQ

Bring back Horry just so we can see our 2 dynastys together as one. THE PERFECT ENDING. Horry & Phil can use their zen to teach the Lakers how to be more clutch so just in case there is another game 7, Kobe wont shoot 6-24.

Hinrich is their current starting shooting guard.

How would Farmar, Brown, and Vujacic improve a team with a gaping hole at shooting guard?

Just askin.

Doesn't seem like you're putting yourself in Chicago's boots.

Championship experience.

We should give Randy Foye a chance(If we do not aquire Hinrich). He can shoot 3s, defend and even take it to the rim. I've heard they are friends with Bynum(NJ connection?). He's a great kid and really deserves a chance in a winning environment. He's a strong combo guard. His PG skills are limited but he's what we need with triangle anyway.
I haven't seen Shawn Livingston but is he strong enough to fight through screens like D. Fish?
Charlie Bell will be good in triangle but I like Foye more because he still has a lot of potential.

What about getting Brad MIller if he is cheap as the replacement for Powell and Mbenga? Hinrich will be very very hard to get because the bulls have virtually no returning players on their roster...

If we're stretching, Stuckey would be a great choice for the bench.

Orlando might be willing to give him more than 2mil. They seriously lack leadership.
Miami or wherever Lebron goes, Houston.

Fisher is one of the most liked guys in any locker room, he has a lot of experience, a lot of leadership (and wants to lead teams) and is trusted by Kobe, other than Pau and Phil, who can say that?

Brad Miller would be a decent suggestion as the backup C. Playing limited minutes he could probably play as he did in 2008 when he was a decent rebounder, shoot, and pass. Regardless backup Cs can't score for **** in the NBA anymore.

I am so down with this. I like this kids game but I doubt the Pistons will part with him anytime soon. Remember they gave away Billups with their hopes riding on Stuckey. BUT DAM IMAGINE IF HE PLAYED FOR US.

That's why I said, "If we're stretching." Unfortunately we won't get him :(. I'd give up Odom for him and Prince though.

I understood what you ment  but he didnt really do that good this season and they (Pistons) are drafting pretty high this coming draft, maybe we can get Bynum instead of Stuckey.........I like him as well and I think he can be a great fit in the Tri.

He can't shoot the 3 ball though. With Gasol-Bynum on the floor that's just about paramount. Farmar's 3 ball was really not good enough in that respect.

I would look at a combo even of Charlie Bell/Fisher as 36 mpg players together, with say an Earl Watson coming off the bench for 6 minutes each quarter to liven it up.

Yes lets keep letting scrub PG's score Magic type numbers next season. Yay Fisher and another old PG in who is really a SG in Bell. Do people not understand we need a real PG so Kobe can play off the ball and help extend his lifespan cuz he wont need 2 do as much work. Plus its harder for teams to defend kobe when he is playing off the ball.

Bell is a far better defender than any of those players. There's only so much you can do. Finding a PG to penetrate, shoot, and defend the 3 is extremely hard.

i think it is near impossible to find one PG that will satisfy ALL our needs. if there is a PG with all the attributes, he probly is making big bucks and not thinking about joining us for about half the MLE. what we need to do is find someone who does at least one thing very well and the other things decent. we arnt going to get a miracle point guard. the closest one that fits our needs is kirk. most of the other PGs available we will have to give or take with some of the attributes we are looking for..

its like saying "we are really good, we just need a player who can shoot the three, defend, drive to the basket, pass, rebound, block shots, has a nice inside game, can post up, and isnt afraid to throw one down on you after he took ur cookies on the other end."....... not gonna happen..

Hinrich and Bynum near 100% healthy during the Playoffs and you got yourself an easy 3peat.

I'd luv the following moves :

resign d fish (2 yrs / 5 mil)
mle Randy foye (4yrs / 16 mil)
vet min t-mac
vet min dj
consoladate 2nd rd pks maybe a litte money n move up
to late 1st or early 2nd and get a good prospect at the 1-3
spots ( best available )
let Shannon brown , j farmar , j Powell, ammo walk. This
wil help keep the salary structure to be close to the
$90 mil we spent this yr.

If Bron bolts Cleveland, we should make a serious play for Anthony Parker. The man is fire from downtown.
