^Means nothing to me dude.
Your opinion is worth as much, if not more than those draft grade "deadline" dudes.

Picks: Devin Ebanks (43), Derrick Caracter (58)
No team had a better second round, and there's a lot to be said for that. Many question whether Ebanks will ever put it all together, but he has vast potential and should fit right in for a team that could use an athletic defender on the wing. Caracter is the ultimate risk-reward player, with knocks on just about everything players get knocked for but more talent than some NBA starters. At Nos. 43 and 58, respectively, both were great values. What more can you ask for from the defending champs?
Via FoxSports.
Thanks for the post Hoop.
As well thanks for your extra credit work during the draft.
PS Your avi reminds me...Shelden Williams was called the Landlord at DUKE, because he dominated the paint, offensively and defensivly, what happened to that guy, he sure looked like a can't miss career NBA player to me, a second team contributor for 10 years, he just looks lost out there.

Sorry about that i lost the link when I closed the window that was from Fox Sports, not me.
Also every GM knows one thing thats just as important as getting the best or right player is getting value and adding flexibility. We have done most of those with the Ebanks pick.
I think the Caracter pick gives us a big body for camp and and an experiement at best. So no real lost. Someone metntioned this is probably dudes last chance to be anything in the NBA. What better place to shine and prove nay sayers wrong. So good luck to this kid.
BUT YOU CANT IGNORE WE GOT FLEXIBILITY. IF either doesn't work out so what we get some free agents to fill the spots stash these guys somewhere and move on.

I don't think the Lakers will stash guys though.
Most are right when they say that on paper he replaces Morrison. and there are implications with that, namely that Ebanks would represent half of our acitivity this offseason (if Brown opts in).
And i know that was from Fox. Do me a favor and post the draft grades from that same site from last year and have a good laugh. They have to meet deadlines and almost always give you surface level analysis.

Do they still pay em the same if they are sent to the Dleauge. I could imagine maybe one of them getting sent down.

Thanks DubaLakers it was fun. I'm glad everyone digged it.
Haha I do recall Shelden's rep when he first got to the NBA. I do think after the first few pick in draft. Your key role players and future all stars are much deeper in the draft. Arenas and Rondo are some examples.

I think the Lakers should have went with Jon Scheyer at 58.

If Character is ever going to amount to anything in the NBA, I think our Org and Team makeup could make it happen... Risk/Reward... He has the gifts to be something special... Why not give him a shot and see what happens...
I like both picks... I have no illusions that they'll have any real impact for us... But I think we did well.

I concur Skyhook; he could still be invited to training camp...
