Laker Schedule For Next Season

Post#1 » by shobe_81 » Sat Jun 26, 2010 11:49 pm

Would you rather prefer a tougher schedule to begin the season or the same type that it's been the past two seasons?

I want the schedule to be tougher early on rather be so grueling later on where the team has to go on 6-8 game road stretches.

I hope it is a little more balanced. It is way to early to think about anything like that. Time to relax and recharge the batteries.

Balanced sounds right. That way it isn't to hard on the guys at the end of the season but forces them not to take the competition lightly so they are prepped for the playoffs.

I agree with both of you.

I'm just hoping it's not too easy from the start.

Especially factoring health, it's better to have an easier schedule going into the end rather than tough because injuries could pile up and then homecourt becomes very important.

No more multiple 6+ game road trips!

Still going to have to deal with the Grammys but nothing you can do about that :-?

There better be a few home games between december 8th -14th! The main reason I'm going over there is to see Kobe & Co. play

it'll probably be similar to the last couple of seasons again. the reason there are so many early home games is because of the grammy awards being held at staples center....and sharing the same arena with the clippers and kings make home games in february difficult to schedule.

Thank you. People just don't get this. It will be home heavy because of scheduling issues. But don't worry, we'll get the annual general board thread about how somehow frontloading games is "rigging" it for the Lakers.

With all the events held at Staples Center, we're bound to have an extended road trip at some point. Usually late in the season because of the Pac 10 tournament.

But I wouldn't mind a 4-5 game trip in December to get the team going. I'm sure some will agree with me that after our insane homestand to start last season we seemed to get a little complacent.
Thank you, Phil.
