I see a lot of Americans root for Germany/Brasil etc.., which is a shame when your home country is playing in the world cup. Heck I've been here 3 years and I find myself rooting for USA.

it doesn't mean that I can't appreciate other teams. I root for Brazil, Germany, Argentina, and sometimes Italy because I like their style. just like when I root for the Spurs or even Boston, but with that said Priority number one is the USA and the Lakers.

I understand that but my friend's bro sulked for an entire day when Germany lost and he roots for them because German was his elective in high school.

Honestly though... USA did great this year. To be even in the top 16 is extremely notable. Be proud guys. Can't put the lakers mentality on the US team. Lakers is like 1st or bust. USA getting in is already a great accomplishment.
