i just can't trust scott, not with the way he lost the players in NJ and NO

thats what ive been saying...i know that kobe and byron were teammates, i know that he is laker alumnus emeritus...i know he took the awful nets to the finals in the worst east ever...

but like aki said, byron still thinks its 1986, and that he is pat riley, he is wrong on both counts.

and he was run out of both of his last jobs, in NJ he was replaced by the youngest(with zero experience) head coach ever, and with NO , an up and coming team with a great point guard, and some nice players, he got his ass run from there too...in both scenarios, his players quit on him...big time...i really dont want this guy...id rather take phil light....

Yup, Bucher reporting on Sportscenter that it's a two man race between Shaw and Scott for the Cleveland position with Shaw still being the favorite.

Also, stated the obvious that Shaw being allowed to enter negotiations with the Cavs is a good sign that PJ is returning because they'd want to keep the Triangle going even if he did retire.
Thank you, Phil.

Byron Scott To Become Head Coach Of Cavaliers

The Cavaliers are currently negotiating a contract with Byron Scott, according to a report from ESPN.

Broussard reports that Scott will be Cleveland's next head coach.

Earlier on Wednesday, Brian Windhorst of the Plain-Dealer reported that Brian Shaw was beginning to assemble a coaching staff and would be bringing the Triangle offense to Cleveland if a deal was reached.

Windhorst confirms Broussard's report of the Cavaliers moving forward with Scott.
