Another poster (forget who) said he had a two - year deal with a Spanish team. He could get out of it, but if that $$$ is guaranteed, he could be taking a risk if he comes to the Lakers now and doesn't make the team.

I think the Lakers envisioned him playing a couple of years in Europe then trying out for them (Summer League, then camp). I think we'll see him next summer and see where it goes.

G=K - as a fellow Pitt Panther, I'll be happy to try and update the progress of the Summer Squad for you.

Did you get to Greentree to see any summer Pitt hoops action?

No I'm home during the summer... what year are you? I just finished up my first. I did get to play with Gibbs up at Trees Hall in the first month I was out there before the team's practices started.

I saw that Gibbs was beasting it this summer. I also think I saw Talib was doing pretty damn well along with Lamar... I'm stoked to see how much Dante and Gibbs improved over the summer. If Dante and McGee can start together with Nasir or Gilbert at the 3 spot, Gibbs at the 2 and Woodal at the 1 we'll be rolling through the big east.

Edit: Just saw that Gilbert Brown dropped 37 one game... damn.

Evidently he's still recovering from foot surgery, thought he had that awhile ago.

"Free-agent guard Javaris Crittenton is not on the Lakers' summer-league roster because he is still recovering from foot surgery. Crittenton was originally drafted by the Lakers in 2007 and could be an inexpensive backcourt option"
