Luther Head?

Post#1 » by notinbtnet » Thu Jul 15, 2010 5:18 am

The Hornets waived his deal after they fired Jeff Bower.

Don't know much about his defense, but he's a career 38% three point shooter. What you all think? I think we could get him pretty cheap.

Or do you all prefer Shannon?

The guy is an undersized shooting guard. He's a good/clutch shooter, but he's undersized. I think he does play pretty good defense for the most part, anybody who gets playing time under Jeff Van Gundy is a good or better than good defender. He does have poor ball-handling skills which is why he can't play PG even though he is the size of one.

Reports have come out that he failed his physical with the Hornets, but his agent Mark Bartelstein said the team is lying and Head is perfectly healthy. The whole thing is suspicious because Jeff Bower was fired on Monday, the deal was reached on Saturday.

This is a big black mark for the Hornets because Bartelstein is a very highly respected agent, once others see this they'll be leery of dealing with them.

He is like a lot of guards. Will get signed later than sooner. All the prime spots are going now. Someone has to be the end of the bench. I like Shannon over Head, just due to the fact SB has played in the tri for a while. Either way Phil does not play these kind of guys a lot. So it really does not matter. It comes down to who can the Lakers get the cheapest.
