Re: Lakers in Discussion with Juan Dixon
Thats just probably as training camp invite especially if they trade Sasha and they need a 5th guard i can see Dixon and Strawberry competing for that spot. I dont think this has anything to do with Shannon and his situation.

Re: Lakers in Discussion with Juan Dixon
Dixon could be a decent spark off the bench for the Lakers.
He brings energy and plenty of passion for the game. He won the NCAA Championship at MD (along side Blake). Both Blake & Dixon played together at MD, Wizards, and Portland. So, those two would definitely work well together.
Dixon's only drawback is that he is an undersized SG and cannot guard apposing SGs. When he was in the backcourt with Blake, Dixon defended the PG and Blake had to take on the SG.

Re: Lakers in Discussion with Juan Dixon
I saw a man in a XXXL Juan Dixon Wizards Home Jersey at work the other day, it must have been a sign. I'll let you know if I see any CP3 jerseys.
...of course I also saw someone in a Phoenix Jake Tsakalidis jersey too...

I think we could do better. He would not be the first player to use the Lakers as a name to get into the training camp discussion. I take Strawberry over him and he is younger. Dixon is 32 and just looking for one more shot at it. If he comes for the vet min. I look. But with no guarantees. Over seas is where he might make better money.

Re: Lakers in Discussion with Juan Dixon
We have enough crappy PGs, no need for Dixon. I rather just sign Ebanks and call it a day

Even though it's probably just interest for a camp invite, I'd rather have a contract year Sasha than Juan Dixon.

Re: Lakers in Discussion with Juan Dixon
Training camp invite only. He gets to hangout with his Maryland backcourt buddy that he won a NCAA title with. Steve Blake. Look for the Lakers to have about 16 to 18 players at training camp. But when all is said and done we will have 13 or 14 guys on the roster. Character will make the roster. Ebanks will be groomed in D-League. Sasha will be with us for the entire year unless the trade deadline can bring something we just can't pass up.
