Xavier Henry?

He is demanding a trade. Would you want him in a trade for Sasha Vujacic?

Wow dude hasn't played one game in the NBA? HA!

Well I can totally see next CBA they put some kind of incentive clause in there. Because people making these ridiculous amounts of money and aren't All Stars is pretty annoying to fans and owners alike.

Sure blame the owners but I think this Henry thing is shining a light on where I think nba owners want to go with the new CBA.

I actually like our full roster as is...Wouldn't make any other moves this year unless it was for Melo, and Melo only other than that we should be satisfied with what we have the smallest tweak isn't even necessary at this point.

I dont think the Grizz are going to trade Henry but if they decide to move him he would and interesting guy to put behind Kobe as his apprentice. And the Grizz would probably want a 1st round pick for him but if Sasha is enough it might actually lower the Lakers payroll by like a 1m.

Not worth it if he is bitching about fulfilling incentives on a bad team that he can get major PT on.

1) he's not demanding a trade, they are getting offers because the contract is not done
2) why would the lakers trade for a rookie that will not see time, and pay double for him since they are over the cap
3) lakers roster is done
4) grizz wont take on luke or sasha's contract just to get rid of a rookie, they are better off just sitting before taking on an obligation. and why trade for a future lakers 1st when they have him right now if they just up their offer a tad...the grizz are trying to save a few hundred thousand bucks, why would they take on more money?
5) i would love to have sasha for henry because sasha blows in his role with LA and probably overall anyway from a pure talent standpoint henry>sasha. but for this year, sasha is worth more, he'll play the same amount as henry would or more (if he plays well) and then its a contract to use at the deadline if necessary and he already knows the offense if la keeps him

I agree that the Lakers are done for the summer but if they can trade Sasha to another team that needs shooter and get cash or a second round pick back and then maybe send their 2012 1st round pick to the Grizz for Henry it actually lowers the Lakers payroll so the Lakers get more talent and lower their payroll at the same time. Sasha and Henry can't be traded 1 for 1 Sasha makes 5.8m and Henry will make around 2m.

I would do it. He is young and athletic and the Lakers do not have a lot of that. He would be a future option and at 6'6 he could develop. Lakers do not get many lottery type players.

Why do so many people want the Lakers to throw a future 1st round pick into a deal. That pick is going to be 25 or lower. Not worth that much. It might as well be a high second round pick and at lease there is no guarantee of 3 or 4 years onto the rookie contract.

Henry approx 25-30 picks ahead of Ebanks
Lakers 1st approx 10-15 picks ahead of Grizzlies 2nd
Seems to be a more than fair swap
Plus with Vujacic expiring and Brown possibly opting out, there are opportunities for a SG in LA
Ebanks has Artest, Barnes, Kobe, and Walton to deal with for minutes at SF

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
