Idea I had was to try and pry Varejao from Cleveland

Sasha + Luke + Character or some future picks

Pretty much a money saving move for them, Andy's contract is worse then Lukes so they save years and money and get a young prospect in return.

They will probably be out of any playoff race by the deadline so they might consider it.

Unlikely but that would be a nice move, size hustle and defense. Andy owns KG.

I believe the front office will do nothing, but I'm all in favor of trying to get a serviceable big. I trust Mitch... and if there's someone who can pull some strings, it's him.

I agree that serviceable big men are the priority. I think the expiring of Sasha, some picks, and maybe another player would be desirable to a team looking to dump some salary. I think something will come along that allows the Lakers to make a move, just has to be the right guy.
