OT: Buying a jersey..need help

Post#1 » by kobesmyhomie » Thu Nov 25, 2010 9:55 pm

Alright so I'm buying a throwback Worthy Jersey online and I was wondering about the size. I haven't bought a jersey in while, but looking at the size chart these jersey's look way too big. Is it just me or are they huge?

Btw I'm a legit 6 ft tall

EDIT: I am looking at something like this

Is it the Hardwood Classics version? I have the #32 Johnson one (medium). I'm around 5'8" and it's way too long for me. I should have gotten a small. It all depends on how you want it to fit like. For a 6 footer, I recommend a medium.

yea it is the classic hardwood. I'm guessing I should get the small because I don't want a large fit.

im 5"10" and own a bunch of the mitchell and ness hardwood classics jerseys (including james worthy's). i tend to like them somewhat loose tho. all of my jerseys are size 48 or 50. if you dont want it too loose, then i would suggest the size 48 if you are 6 feet. if you want it more snug, then size 46, but i've always thought jersey's that don't go down to your mid thigh look wrong, but that's me.

I think the sizing is different for what I want to purchase, I was looking at this:

ahhhh...you're looking at the adidas jerseys. yes, they are longer....the size chart has the size 48 (xl) 5 inches longer than the mitchell and ness jersey. this is a tough call. the m&n jerseys fit great on me, but they are more expensive. sorry i couldnt help.

I'm 6'0... got my Worthy jersey a couple of weeks back. I wear medium cuz the large is a little loose. Medium fits great, i'm sure that'll work for you.

BTW great choice of jersey :rocking:

Thanks this helped a lot, but I'm still afraid a medium would be too loose on me...I'm a fairly skinny dude.

I'm 5'11" and I wear a M. I have a L and it fits well, but it's a little long for my liking.

I am 6'1 and 200. I buy everything in extra large. Things made today seem to not be made to shrink a little.
5'8...medium I would say would be about right.

M is the safe bet - jersey's look more awkward if they're too small then slightly large - everyone that would know who's jersey that was would understand the troubles that come in sizing them.

Plus most are made outside of the USA and there size charts are not always the same. So a size 36 is a size 38 on a different brand. Best to buy at a store and not online.
