I can't even imagine what O'Neal is going to say if he does play a big part in the Celtics beating the Lakers in the finals. I can see him retiring immediately after that.

I'm inclined to agree. Sure, Shaq, has been on teams with big name talents before; the difference here is that the Celtics have the HOF-ers, an elite point guard in Rondo, and a defensive and offensive system that brings out the best out of everyone. The Celts play very good team defense, and on the offensive end, everyone works within the system. There is a lot of ball movement and trust among the guys. As a whole, the Celtics are a very tight-knit group since 2008.

Sure the 3-peat Lakers in the early 2000's were crazy-good, but aside from Kobe, Shaq didn't have much. Also those LA teams required a lot of heroic efforts from Kobe, Horry, and himself to get through the tough WC competition.

Plus Pheonix and cleveland had holes in the defensive or offensive side----and the 06 Heat don't compare either. We all know the 06 Heat overachieved with Wade's heroics.

The scariest team for the Lakers has got to be Celts no matter how they perform in the regular season.

In the end, the finals will be Lakers/Celtics. With Shaq sporting the Bio-Diesel green, I think it could become the most anticipated of all the Laker/Celtics finals.
