It's more about us being stoked that this ensures the board will have another even tempered intelligent guy to make sure the quality is high and the trolls are low. If you'd been around here in the midst of the garbage that sometimes breaks out you'd be thankful for Semi too. In reality it's an honor to be a mod, but it's more of a chore than getting a promotion.

A promotion is a reward for doing something well. In Semi's case, he was a respected member of the community that has sustained that excellence over an extended period. We are congratulating him for receiving a reward for his hard work and Laker love.

As a Rockets fan, I try to not poke my nose into other teams forums unless it's time for some well-deserved mocking.

However, I must make an exception and venture into the dreaded Lakers board to congratulate semi and the rest of the board for this move. I've worked with him over the past few months on the RPOY project, and he was an invaluable member of that. You guys are lucky to have him here.
