Rasheed Wallace Planning to Re-Join the Celtics?

Post#1 » by kooner » Tue Jan 11, 2011 5:27 pm

Stephen A. Smith tells The Dan Patrick Show that Wallace told him he plans to help the C’s avenge their NBA Finals loss to the Lakers by coming out of retirement: “Smith said that the Celtics counter the Heat’s athleticism with ‘brute size’ and Rasheed Wallace will come out of retirement to come back to the Celtics. Smith said Wallace told him that’s the plan, because he wants another shot at the Lakers in the NBA Finals.”

Great. Then he can foul out again and watch us celebrate from the bench.

Seriously, though, if was out of shape last year, while playing a full season, what the hell's he going to be able to do after skipping half the season? Smother people with his double Ds?

If KG's knee is still gimpy, this really isn't that big of an impact move.

The way the heat are playing. Celtics might not make it there. Knicks are better, Orlando is better. So it is not a free pass to the finals. Nets make the trade and they become better. Hawks are strong.

The 1 thing I love about the Celtics is that they make love to pressure. Good coaching and good vet's. If they are healthy come playoff time I will never count them out.

We'll spank that ass again if Miami or Orlando don't. He can join KG in his dark *butt buddy* place again.

As much as I hate Boston I still think they will beat Miami. Boston isn't going to back down to Miami who they might just hate more than us. Even if the Nets land Melo I still don't see them being relevant. They are going to be gutting their entire team to land Melo.

You'd think these teams had 25 man rosters with the amount of cats MIA & BOS have signed since last year.

Good. The season been quiet without his big mouth. If he wants another shot let him. Hopefully he doesn't come 60 lbs overweight.

Or...maybe their scrubs from last season were simply NOT re-signed? Miami only signed one player after the season started. Stackhouse lasted like four games and was waived.

Not sure why you listed the Nets here. Nets aren't that good of a team as is. To get Anthony, they're going to have to give up some of their more talented players. Nets aren't going to be contending this year regardless.

They'd have an outside shot at the 8th seed and could put some pressure on the top tier teams for sure.

I hope he joins them again, we could use the extra 3-4 technical's he's gonna get with the new rules per game, if we were to match up with the C's in the finals.
