thinking ahead and in the future, i dont think this kinda stuff is goin to continue, i think some sort of franchise tag is comin. which is why i thought we shouldve went after him. us gettin another superstar will be extremely difficult in the future. deron, d12, chris paul, those type of players comin here will be hard to do as i see the owners around the league complaining about teams loading up and gettin multiple superstars on one team.

I think they screwed up in letting Mosgov go. Had they kept him I'd see a much brighter future.

No offense, bro, but you need to get a better life.

LoL the part about it being the greatest day of my life was a joke man ;) I say that anytime anything good happens, it's in jest.

Maybe Mitch didn't do this because we do have a real chance at Dwight Howard in 2012. Lets hope he has a plan for the future.

Knicks are finally watchable should be a great duo with Melo and Amare in the D'Antoni system. I expect them to be a very very good offensive team maybe the best.

Going to sell tickets but it's going to limit and hurt the Knicks on the long run.

are you a fortune teller?.. thanks for telling us whats gonna happen in the "long run." in the short term, their defense might not be great, but how do u know who they're gonna sign in the offseason? way too early to say that this trade hurts the knicks in the long run, because they got the superstar building blocks and just need to add complimentary pieces.

Losing Moz sucks for NY but getting Melo and staying competitive with 2 Stars instead of 1 will probably heal up that small wound. They got Brewer also so it may not be the pain killer needed but it helps make the deal a tad better. Overall Knicks is setting themselves up for contention. It won't be now but it's def coming soon.

Donnie Walsh answered "Yes" when asked whether he had final say over the trade sending Carmelo Anthony to New York, and shrugged off reports that Isiah Thomas was advising James Dolan behind the scenes.

"I’m assuming Isiah's getting ready for the NCAA tournament," Walsh said, adding that he had "no idea" what role, if any, Thomas played in the trade discussions and "could care less."

Isiah may have some words influencing Dolan, but Walsh made it clear he was the one that pulled the trigger.

that team has a really good offense now. very strong players. the best scorer in the game. billups is a top clutch performer himself and amare is a beast. brewer would start on most teams and is a great wing to add to fields. center is a concern, but turiaf has been decent and physical. these knicks will give teams a hard time and are championship contenders. the lakers are still favorites, boston still a close second, but these knicks are right there with miami if you ask me
