The crazy thing about Bynum is, during game 6, I thought his energy picked up mid to late 3rd quarter and in to the 4th quarter. New Orleans looked tired and Bynum look like he was fresh, as if he just woke up from a nap and had a ton of energy. That tripped me out. Its like he decided to take over the game defensively. Good for him.

We're really going to need Bynum for the next three rounds, so for that reason, I'll give the MVP of the first round to the A-Bomb. HOPE YOU'RE READING THIS.

Im gonna go with my boy Ron Ron. I know Drew was definitely the MVP on terms of presence and stats. To me Ron Ron was that dude who just came in with the right attitude and intensity right at the first tip off of the playoffs.

He also gave Marco Belinelli fits in the first 3-4 games.
Normally in all of those 46 wins in the regular season the Hornets archived ,
Marco scored 20 or more .
Not the case when you got the NBA Citizen of the Year face palm guarding you the entire series.

Ron and Drew share the title for first round MVP imo

Expecting Ron Ron to give The Matrix, The Durantula, and whoever in the East this same treatment in the near future.

Big Drew! Not only because he was the most consistent but also due to the criticism he takes on this board on a constant basis. Way to go Drew!

Game 6 Bynum

You know what Big Game, I find myself more impressed with Kobe these days the less he does. Like Game 2, it seemed like he wasn't doing anything but yet he was doing his best to slow CP3 down. Game 6 he just let the game flow to him. I was shocked he had 24, it was effortless. When he's patrolling & picking his spots man its jordanesque. He has a look in his eye that he can strike at any moment and the beauty of it all is if everyone else is doing their job he just remains as the coiled up Mamba not even having to strike!

Truth be told, without Kobe we wouldn't even make it out of round 1, however Bynum staying healthy will make the playoffs that much easier.

Truth be told without Kobe we're not a championship caliber team but what does either of those statements have to do with the topic? Unless that's your reasoning behind voting him as the MVP?

1. drew
2. ron
3. kobe

drew was there all the time, if u look at some defensive stats, the lakers were giving up something like 10-20 more pts per 100 possessions with him off the floor.

ron was simply consistent the entire series, there wasn't a time when i thought ron was out of sync with the rest of the team, more action, less thinking mantra has paid wonders for him.

kobe was kobe.

Drew has been invaluable in the first round of the playoffs... He was just too big and too long for the Hornets!

And, Ron Ron was a consistent scorer and played his normal brand of defense that we're all accustomed to seeing from him.

But Kobe was the MVP for the Lakers. His ability to overcome injury and put the team on his back was huge. Just when you thought that CP3 and the Hornets were going to run the Lakers off the court, Kobe hit timely shots. And that nasty dunk over Emeka Okafor in the second quarter of Game 5 just changed the complexion of the whole series.

Bring on Dirk!
