Ask NO fans about Ariza's contract... There's a reason he's played with 5 teams in 6 seasons...
Due to Ariza's positive showing in a playoff series with us and this past one with NO, Lakers fans forget just how bad he plays at times... He goes through long stretches of the season where he just can't seem to get int going offensively. And when he's not effective offensively, he tightens up on D. He's also prone to making poor decisions on the court at times.
He's a good solid backup SF on a good team. We have 2 of those at this point in Artest and Barnes...
In fact, before he got hurt, I'd have taken Barnes over Ariza all day. What he lacks in athleticism, he makes up for in understanding his role, consistency... And price.
