Delonte West is the perfect, cheap combo guard to sign this offseason.

I absolutely love Darius Morris' game, but I think you need a veteran rotation player on the team that will push him and make him earn his spot as backup PG.

Delonte West can play with or without the ball, is a great shooter, defender of PGs and SGs, and tough as nails. He also is Mike Brown's boy so he should feel very comfortable coming here to push Blake and give our bench the "pop" in the backcourt its lacked for many years.

Troy Murphy is the perfect, cheap fourth bigman to sign this offseason.

I agree with someone else that Murphy may not come because he wouldn't be guaranteed an everyday spot in the rotation, but if he did agree, he'd be an excellent guy to have as another shooter off the bench and as insurance in case Odom, Bynum, or Gasol become injured.

With there only being a small handful of "real" centers in the NBA, signing a guy like Murphy as your 4th big and having him get some minutes at center is a reasonable proposition. Murphy is also a great insurance policy if Odom were to be traded.

I really don't want to beat a dead horse because I have discussed this ad naseum but Gasol off the bench doesn't change his role that much at all and is not a demotion. It just gives the team more "pop" off the bench in a similiar way that Kevin McHale was brought off the bench with the Celtics and Ginobli with SA. Gasol would still finish games and his minutes wouldn't be affected. Look at it as a move to give the bench a go to guy (better than Odom).

Fisher as a SG is not a stretch at all. Matter of fact he's always been a SG. With Delonte West, Darius Morris, and Steve Blake, three PGs that can guard SGs his role merely becomes more defined.

Fisher's main job next year will be to prep Goudelock to eventually take his role as backup SG.

If we are going to keep our core then we need a backup C and a backup SG that is better than Shannon Brown. For backup center we should get Jeff Foster. He played under Mike Brown in Indiana and is a great rebounder and defender. For backup SG we need someone that can score consistently and create their own shot. JR Smith or Jamal Crawford would be ideal as they are both instant offense off the bench and can take pressure off of Kobe from trying to take over. I think we will be fine at PG as I think that Blake will start and do better given more minutes and not playing in the triangle. I also think that Artest will be better not in the triangle. Both Blake and Artest need to be more aggressive and not passive like they were last season as is looked like they were uncomfortable and didn't quite know their role on the team. I think both rookies will make the team as well. If we can get a solid backup C and a better SG we should win the championship next season.

PG-Blake/Fisher/Morris
SG-Bryant/Crawford or Smith/Goudelock
SF-Artest/Barnes/Ebanks/Walton
PF-Gasol/Odom/Caracter
C-Bynum/Foster
