Among several players at LAL practice court are 2nd Rounders Goudelock/Morris, w/Brown, Kupchak & Person looking on. Number 58 pick Ater Majok is here, & some random player sightings include Gerald Green & Bobby Simmons.

Scrimmage 1:

Announcing his presence in style, Goudelock just drained a game-winning three at the buzzer off a screen.

Drew Goudelock on his 3-point shooting as his trump card: "I have an ace. Some guys don't have that.

Scrimmage 2:

After Goudelock caught, turned to square up and nailed winning 3 in last mini-camp scrimmage, he is going h2h vs. Darius Morris in another.

Hasn't taken long to see why Darius Morris ranked 5th in NCAA's in dimes at Michigan. Terrific court vision, sees a step ahead. Morris was the most impressive player in Game 2, running the show and tallying at least 5 assists in a 28-24 win.

Morris' team won with him dominating the ball. Able to create his own also.

Darius Morris acknowledged his 25% 3pt shooting last year but said his shooting potential is "what a lot of people don't know about me."

Good stuff and cool that both rookies are good as advertised so far, despite probably playing a below average competition.

i hope we do some serious reconstruction on these kids and have them NBA ready in all facets of their game in a year or 2.

morris with his outside shooting
goudelock with his ball-handling/playmaking
both with their general athleticism and defense

Honestly today was the very first time I saw video on Morris as I was watching it, I thought to myself 2 things. The first was - dam he is right arm dominate. He has to use his left hand more. The second thing was - this guy's game reminds me of a young Derron Williams. Then I run across this...

I guess if I hang around the Laker's practice facility long enough they just might invite me to camp. :D

Gerald Green has the talent to be an NBA all-star ... just can't seem to figure it out though ...

Funny thing i remember tons of guys round here were pissed when Mitch selected Bynum and Green was still on the board.

He was so hyped at that time and many thought he would be a top 10 pick

saw Simmons playing in the finals of the NBDL. forgot the team he was playing for.

Green? the guy could be a JR Smith type of player. too bad he doesn't realize that.

Morris: that's some nice passing in those youtube videos. But isn't his shot sometimes... not bad, just unusual, sort of like Shawn Marion?
