but sometimes, you just can't help it. you see your rivals stacking up talent to be able to compete or probably accumulating assets to make a bigger splash in the future (like Sacramento getting Hickson and now has a deep bigman rotation that is very capable of competing or probably dealing one or 2 for a legit superstar).

I' confused with this lockout thing. No season or shortened season?

Depends on how soon the owners/players feel like coming to an agreement. I'm hearing it could be really bad.

I really don't know how revenue sharing would work, it's stupid as hell.

Owners buy franchises knowing where the franchise is located, how much they are buying it for and they also know all the CBA rules and how it could put them at a disadvantage being in a smaller market than someone like LA. Why are they the very ones asking to be bailed out by the big market teams, now?

Contraction is the best thing to do. Get the **** idiot owners out that are leading the fight for revenue sharing...they are the ones probably losing the most money. Get them out of the league...as for the players that were on contract, to bad your owner was a **** idiot that overpaid you and didn't know how to turn a profit.

You would think that the NBA (and NBAPA) would learn from the NFL regarding the negative press that their owners/athletes are getting these days.

C'mon figure this **** out!

Wow, I can't believe the NBA has actually locked out the player stats and bios on the team websites the NFL didn't even do that to its players.

That's because the owners want a hard flex cap that is reportedly worse than hockey's atrocious CBA.

relax fellas, there's still 4 months till the start of the season, i'm sure they can complete or at least come close to completing something.

worst case scenario, no nba next season, and if it comes to that, the league will probably threaten to get new players(either from college or overseas) and tell the rest of the players that they can either play or leave.

The players would leave, and the NBA would suffer. I guess you would like to see Jarvis Williams fro Europe play along with his friends that nobody in the US knows...

The players right now in the NBA are the face of the league, the owners bring in dudes from Europe and college and else where....the league will suffer even more than a lockout for 1 entire season.

I believe the union needs to decertify for the league to replace them? All the big names would go to china and make 3x as much
