Mo$t valuable player$?

Post#1 » by The_Trade_Seer » Wed Oct 5, 2011 8:45 pm

With Wade recently stating he believed he could get $50mil per season on the opn market, an agent recently stating Miami's big 3 would receive $140mil per year collectively on an open market and Dr. Buss stating that Kobe is worth at least $70mil per season ... who would you say the top 10 most valuable players in the league are and how much would they make if they each played in a big market like LA or NY?

My list is as follows:

1. Kobe $70 mil
2. Lebron $65 mil
3. Dwight $60 mil
4. Wade $50 mil
5. Durant $45 mil
6. Blake Griffin $45 mil
7. Melo $40 mil
8. Rose $35 mil
9. Dirk $30 mil
10. CP3 $25 mil

The above list is not who I feel the 10 best players in the NBA are necessarily, simply who I believe would be the highest paid players do to various factors ... for example the excitement factor with Blake Griffin being paid more than Dirk, etc.

What do you think?

Some times I wish Kareem and Magic could've played in this era of crazy money, because it ain't no way in hell Doc Buss could've paid both of them at the same time. If Kobe is worth $70 mil, then Cap and Magic could command $90-$95 mil easy.

Um, no. Magic wouldn't have made as much as Kobe though it would have been close ... Kareem would have made nowhere near what Kobe makes ... and if Buss can afford Kobe, Pau, Bynum, Odom and MWP all at the same time I'm sure he would have been able to afford Magic and Kareem.
