The impression I get from talking to Houston fans on message boards including some who seem to have more knowledge and more reliable sources for what it's worth, is that the deal is already on the table and it's Kupchak who is still reluctant to pull the trigger because he doesn't feel it's quite enough value in return for a scarce resource like Gasol.

So I'd be interested in your perspective based on what you've read or heard about Mitch scrambling to engage Atlanta as third trading partner so they can "make a strong offer and Houston pulls through".

Can you provide me with some more color around that?
