God damn. Some of you are the most fake fans ever. It will be interesting to hear what you say WHEN we comeback. Never write off your team before its over, especially when your team is the 2x defending champs. The Lakers have been right in it for 2 of the 3 games. Eventually, its gonna go our way.

Re: Rally Thread 2
I still strongly believe that the Lakers can pull off this monumental hurdle of avoiding elimination by winning 4 straight against the Mavericks. I don’t know why, but there’s this feeling inside of me that they can do it. I just don’t see this team going out this way after such an arduous season filled with drama, turmoil, injuries, inconsistency, and most of all, Phil Jackson’s last stand as head coach. The Lakers have one last run in them, and it starts at 12:30pm on Sunday for Game 4.
To quote a certain someone, “If you want to make history, you’ve got to do historic things,” and there’s nothing more historic than what they need to accomplish.
Could it be that maybe I’m just in denial and don’t want to accept the fact that the chances of them winning 4 straight are pretty slim? Could it be that I’m out of my mind to even think this way? Whichever case it may be, I’ll be behind the boys 100% and won’t stop believing until the clock reads 0.00 with the Lakers in defeat.
The time is now. The 3-peat is at stake. Give it your all or go home. Who’s with me?

Re: Rally Thread 2
The great thing about our situation is, if we win 3 games, game 7 will be played in Staples.
There has been only 15 teams who have been in the Lakers situation (Home court advantage, facing a sweep). The other 83 teams who were down 0-3, were teams without home court advantage.
Lakers still have a great chance to win this they need to stay focused.
I missed all 3 games due to **** like power outages, and classes I needed to attend, MIGHT be able to watch tomorrows game if Mothers day doesn't **** it up for me. But from what I know from my score updates, Lakers had a 16 point lead in Game 1, Lakers had an 8 point lead in Game 3, with 6 minutes or so to go. We are not outmatched, and if we can just focus and hold leads, the Lakers will win this. I confidently say this: If the Lakers have a lead going into the 4th quarter, they will win the game. As long as that happens for 4 straight games, Lakers will win 4-3.

Re: Rally Thread 2
so our margin of error is gone...
i still think if we play to our abilities, we're a team that beats the mavs on average by 10-20 pts per game.
if only they will stick to the script and stop shooting so damn well

Im a Knicks fan,,but I'll say this....If there's any1 who can come back from this Defecit its the LA Lakers and the perfect team to have that happen on is the Dallas Mavs...I know thier playing out of thier Minds and Kobe is most likely in the Twilight of his career, but It aint over til its over, I can see LA pulling this out. Its odd to me hearing Lakers fans saying its over no chance....Sooner or Later A Team will win a series that they trailing 0-3,,,why not Kobe, increasing his Legend.... When My Knicks were down 0-3 Boston, I knew it was over...in this situation, Dallas is gonna have to be leading by 10 points with a Minute left for me to believe that its Over.

It's hard to picture the season coming to an end like this, we were all spoiled with greatness, and miraculous feats every time this team stepped on the floor. This years team has been anything but. We've all sat around and waited for the proverbial switch to be flipped on, and time after time again we've gotten burned doing so. This team just doesn't have in them, but I hope they have enough pride in themselves to not get swept.
With that said
Lakers in 10.
Look at this. This bright-eyed Jet has been replaced with the "fake Laker fan" wet blanket Jet.

Haha, well we all knew how it was gonna end anyway. I bumped it because despite our current civil war differences, this is what we are gonna need this playoffs. The truth is we now have no 1st rounders in this draft, the trades have happened, what we have is the 8 guys playing on this team. Sure, some of us don't particularly like them, and they are coached by someone most of us don't like, but all we will have in these playoffs is our blind homerism. So enough of this bickering, board. We are gonna need to put aside our differences and our realistic views at our shot of winning and accept/pretend (depending on which side we're on) that these are the players we have and that they have some kind of shot at beating the Thunders and the Spurs and the Heats. So you are either team win or team downer. That's all there is to it, because this team isn't changing between now and the championship
