OT: why are Kobe's unpopular?

I understand people not wanting to rock low tops. I did it once in a competitive setting and got a high ankle sprain that sidelined me for awhile. Without a brace or pro trainer to tape it it is not worth the risk.

I have recently gotten the "shark" and the "wolf" kobe vii's and I love them. I don't use them for ballin but the style and fit of the shoe are awesome IMO. I also plan on getting the easter poison dart frogs that are coming out soon.

as for ballin, im currently rocking these:
