i merged the thread cause i felt it was better discussed in here in regards to parsons and i also made a judgement call that its better for board's quality at this time.

Kobe not concerned bout Bynum saying it's learning process "not big deal". Kobe kept saying Bynum needs to find "balance" but not much concern in Lakers locker room. Kobe on Bynum "dont want him to lose that edge or lose the rage he's playing with. Just find a good balance". Kobe on Bynum "he's a bright guy. We'll talk but not something that we need to have a heart to heart"

i thought parsons did okay on kobe, not really spectacular or worth mentioning. i mean, its not like he really did anything to throw kobes game off, he just missed some make-able shots. i think Parsons length and hustle might be mistaken for actual good defense. its noticeable when guys like Battier and Allen force him into bad shots and bother him, Parsons clearly does not fall into that category, not even close really. maybe you just have a thing for him or something? i guess hes not ugly or anything.
anywhooo, this is the second game ive been to all season and both have been lost in the 4th quarter. feels bad man.

I understand, many people here aren't the brightest to talk real basketball with.. this board has a lot of

I thought it was a valid thread for discussion, not "you're stupid Kobe is the best" type comments.
And doormatt, he's a rookie and last game and this he played Kobe perfectly. We'll see if he keeps it up, but obviously we can't compare too well when the other guys have much bigger sample sizes.

I suggested we trade for Parsons when Pau was still rumored to be shipped there. I think I said Scola, Dragic and Parsons. Then Bynum would have been team captain. We'd have a defensive power forward to cover Drew's ass and the team would work better.

idk i dont really think he'll be anything other than average defensively, if that. i like his offensive game a lot more. i like a lot of their offensive role players.

It's Clear Bynum does not like MB whatsoever. But Please Bynum keep on playing the way you are playing with that edge and anger. We need it. BS calls on the ref. Kobe was trash talking James Harden and everybody on the Oklahoma team when they played. Did they call a tech? no. So why wasn't MB concerned when Kobe was doing the same damn thing? MB needs to have his player's back instead of quoting that BS to the media. Trash talking is part of the game. KG would be kicked out of every game if that call the rule the right way.

DEEP3CL wrote:I guess I'm gonna be the solo rebel tonight...not gonna blame Drew for this loss. In fact Drew had hardly nothing to do with it as far as I'm concerned, I'll get back to that. For one we lost because sadly Mike Brown can't heal himself for suddenly repuncturing himself. Inserting Murphy was the wrong move and it was easy to see why.
The minute he came in Houston basically went to a two man game, Scola and Dragic tore Murhpy and Blake to shreds before Mike subbed them out. Houston went to Scola because they knew Troy couldn't check him. Also Ramon gotta find it on D, Goran had it way way too easy.
Then the second of many reasons we lost was we got was too stagnant on O, the rock wasn't moving with precision and shots came deep in the clock or it was a turnover. Plus we gotta major problem that better be corrected by playoffs.........we don't come out in 3rd quarters with fire. Some how they think the game is over. Championship teams destroy their opponents in the 3rd's, we go into zombie mode then make up for some times or come up short like tonight. Of our 21 losses about a good 15 or 16 games have been lost this way.
Back to Drew, I saw it coming from the minute when he was stuck on the floor with the subs. For one they didn't run the offense through him which was dumb as hell but what the f**k do you expect with Blake running the O. All Houston did was sit in Drew's lap because they KNEW Blake, Barnes, Josh wasn't going to beat them.
So Drew's frustration grew from two things, not getting the rock enough and the Houston hacks fouling the sh*t out of him and the refs ignored it. Seems like making the All Star team means nothing to them. The first tech was BS and so was the second. If anybody here says otherwise then you're lying thought the gaps in ya grills.
If I had to pay 20 bucks for every time I've seen a so called All Star get testy and wanna roll up on somebody after a unnecessary foul like the one Dalembert did.....I would've forked over about a grand easy. Then the second tech has also been done by countless of so called All Star type players. Scoring and taunting or mouthing off to a bench is nothing new and the refs know this. On that play Dalembert was all on Drew's back in turn causing him to land kinda awkward.
You guys have to see this Drew's way for once, he's fed the hell up with these BS reasons on why he can possibly get hurt. And I don't blame him one damn bit. I'm glad Drew turned and started walking towards that hack, a message has to start being sent to every damn hack that plays him . "If you trying to hurt me or if I think you're going overboard I'm check'in you simple as that".....this is Drew's mentality.
I'm telling you guys now, expect Drew to get into it with somebody soon....the man has some built up tension built up and he's about to explode. But once he does the message will be fully sent.
I'm not mad about this loss, and it damn sure wasn't on Drew. That's just my take on it.
Deep I posted a similar post right after he got kicked out but with his recent troubles he's been in, I think he should have kept his cool on this one. (2nd tech)

If the Lakers decide to suspend Drew's ass I would really like to see Jordan Hill finally get a shot at some playing time. He's a really nice compliment to Pau at PF, helping on the boards, hitting the mid-range, playing the hustle role as well as occasionally getting a post-up and using some developing post skills.
It'd be shame if they don't give him a shot (if he's healthy).

Re: #66 - Houston Rockets @ LA Lakers. 7:30 pm

We keep throwing away games. It's crazy how many we've lost after being up double-digits. This team just sucks at keeping big leads, and that goes back to last years playoffs so it's not a MB issue. We just get too complacent when we're up. Brown does make some poor decisions, especially in tight games, but leads disappearing is hardly his fault.
That Bynum ejection was really lame as well. While he's an immature little kid, the refs just f'ing suck for giving him a technical for something that minor, especially when they know it results in an ejection. Stupid asses should have just swallowed their whistles like they do for Griffin 5 times a game. Clowns.
... and why didn't they give Camby a technical when he was taunting Bynum after the ejection? Be consistent you pricks.
Anyway, that's 4 home losses in the past 3 weeks.

Anyway, that's 4 home losses in the past 3 weeks. It's like we're trying to give away home court advantage in the 1st round. With a brutal schedule remaining we can't afford to throw away games like we have. This team needs to do some serious soul-searching and get it together.
+1, we continue to play with fire every game and at times it burns us. All these close games aren't good, especially when they are games which shouldn't be close at all. How many blow outs have we had this season? 1, against Dallas right? This team needs to get it's act together, too many games in which there is lack of effort.

Re: #66 - Houston Rockets @ LA Lakers. 7:30 pm
this is the pattern I have noticed: we get a comfortable lead in the first quarter or early second, then we lose it at the end of the half or in the third or early fourth. I get really nervous when we play well in the first. I am more comfortable when the game is tight up until the fourth, then I know we will win.

Secondly I'll stand by what I believed on what was need, third I NEVER bragged about his offense because that's what the hell he hired Kuester for. Fact is I always knew what type of coach Brown was, and going by what was needed for this team to improve he was the right hire at the time.
I needed time to see him on a everyday basis, hear his thoughts, see how he handles his players...he's failed at all this. I've even come out and said he won't last the length of his contract, we all know this now.
Coaching is about people skills at the pro level, Brown is very limited in that area. You gotta be damn near a physiologist to deal with these guys.
