Terrance Williams will be a free agent this summer. Though, the kings do like him, theyre gonna be in the lottery this year and most likely theyll be able to find a player for their weakest positoin, SF.
Williams played great for the kings in the month of march in the point forward postion off the bench while both salmons and thorton were out with injuries. but with thorton back, williams minutes have increasingly diminished with each game.
The reason i bring him up in the laker forum is because after watching our bench all season and the abysmal play of steve blake running the point, i honestly feel williams would be a great fit for la and that he can be picked up for way cheap. he'll add athleticism to our brittle team, which is always a treat.
our 2nd unit could be:
pg: blake (strictly spot up short corner 3 shooter) / goudelock (for scoring and not ball distribution)
sg: goudelock (same reasons) / barnes
sf: williams (point forward role as he does in sac town)
pf: mcrobby
c: whoever brown decideds to play with the bench. ie: bynum or maybe even give hill some burn
so if the lakers arent able to snag beasely this summer, i think they should look into williams. i know he can be a real bone head, as shown with his time with nj and houston, but i think hes really coming together as a player after being shunned from his first two teams, and now can positively contribute to the lakers bench.

Re: Terrance Williams
I like his skillset and all but the Lakers need a SF that can stretch the floor. Beasley is pretty good from outside. They dont need a guy like Williams thats a bit of slasher and in college if I remember he was a bit of a point forward too. He would be pretty good off the bench though.

Re: Terrance Williams
I saw him play a little with the Nets and there were times when he did run the point. He would be a good spark off the bench, but then again it all depends on what kind of offers he'll get and what he'll take. Hopefully it won't be another case of reported player _______ interested in going to the Lakers, only to find out that it was only a smokescreen to get more money.
