If you're in it for sarcastic one-liners, it was awesome. Otherwise, suicide-worthy. To say that we sucked is an insult to the many teams that have sucked before us. That was a full-blown ankle grab.

I've seen it this year, but these two games really expose the lack of Odom on this team - his agility and versatility as a whole is definitely missed. Say what you want about his mentality now, which it is not good, but after some time off, he'll be fine again.
I remember in the playoff series in 2008 he really helped on the perimeter defense with switches and the pick and roll. It was annoying, but impressive.
You guys are still a damn good team though, and the size up front + Kobe and an in-tune Sessions is a dangerous team. I stll don't see OKC getting past you, their lack of offense up front is gonna be exposed.

We're not missing Odom as much as outsiders want to believe. Anyway I'm past talking about Odom. I'm not all that seriously concerned about how we lost the last two games. If a team isn't going to play much D, teams shooting video game percentages will happen 9 out of 10 times simple as that. Everybody really over analyzing the whole pick and roll defense thing way too far. It starts with the guards and them knowing who they're guarding. It's not like guarding Parker is some unsolved mystery. It comes down to the guard and center knowing exactly what they need to do on the P&R.Ballings7 wrote:I've seen it this year, but these two games really expose the lack of Odom on this team - his agility and versatility as a whole is definitely missed. I like our chances against everybody, it's not like what happened can't be solved. The method to beating the Spurs is simple.....control tempo, hit the boards and pound their interior. When those things are done it's a W from what I've seen teams do to them.
