Denver is no joke - Lakers had the bad habit last year of starting series' off with losses (NOH and DAL). IMO, you have to smack Denver in the mouth in games 1 + 2, and set the tone early.

But since Koufos, Mozgov, and McGee aren't Hollywood Hotshots like Cry-Baby Bynum and Pout Pout Gasol, they probably won't get the same kind of love from the refs.

If your bigs DO get into foul trouble, which is more likely against the Nuggets, who visit the free-throw line more than any other team, WATCH OUT! Kobe would have to carry the load and he blows against the Nuggets.

It's time for the blue-collar to beat the golden-halo.

Another whack thing about LA basketball: if the Clippers and Lakers face each other in the playoffs....every game is a home game. Less travel = more well rested = an advantage that no other basketball team has.

GO DENVER!
GO MEMPHIS!

Bynum & Gasol are all star talent big men who were important parts to championship teams.

Koufos, Mozgov, and McGee are role players who will never sniff half the success, much less even an all star appearance at all in their careers. Your starting center may have lowest IQ ever for a big man. You should blame you persecution complex instead of the refs.

Furthermore, calling your team "blue-collar" is just nice way of saying you have no elite talent on your team. and it's true. You have a bunch of above average role players on your team with a great coach who correctly pushes the pace. There is a reason why not single player on your team made the all star team this year. You're an entertaining team that at most make the third round and never win a championship. The closest you ever got was when you had Carmelo, but you traded him away for a bunch of role players.

He'll probably be the first big off the bench.

If he's not something is terribly wrong.

@ jigga_man

I'm glad you bring up intelligence quotients when World Violence is on your team. He makes Javale look like McGenius.

I'm also glad that you keep tabs on Denver's all-star appearances. I forgot that the amount of all-stars you have is a true litmus of your potential play-off success, like when Melo and A.I. went to the all-star game in '08. That season panned out well, thanks to our "elite talent."

Bynum and Gasol are the best BIGS in the league, no duh, but they are not invincible. The Nuggets will give them more fits than any other team in the playoffs.

Just you wait and see

Im extremely curious as to HOW?

You have three 7 footers, 1 normal sized PF in birdman, and 2 undersized PFs in Faried and Harrington.

Which combination of these 6 players is Karl going to start that is going to give us more fits than any team in the playoffs? I just don't see any combination of players out of that group that worries me in the slightest.

If you go big, your FC offense will be nonexistent and you'll lose a lot of your team speed advantage. If you go small, we'll dominate as we always do in the paint and on the boards. What am I missing here?

You keep on saying Jefferson but do you mean Harrington?

You went from saying the Lakers bigs suck, to how they are the best in the league bit not invincible? You have to get your priorities straight dude. Lets just watch tomorrows game and then we will talk!

Meanwhile, back in reality, the nuggets even went with a double PF lineup searching for answers against LA's front line.

Doesn't matter how many 7 footers Denver has, they can't play together the way ours can.
