No Odom whatsoever...dude is getting old and Lakers need to groom new talent for a new day. The only vets they need to hold on to are Kobe and Pau.

I feel 100% confident in saying Odom will be a Laker if he wants to be. He wants to play in Los Angeles, so if he isn't on the Clippers roster on opening day then right there is a clear indication on to where he's heading.

And I think Odom will be a Laker partly because Beasley isn't an option. It just sounds to me that someone said something about LA acquiring Beasley and everyone jumped on board because it just sounded like a good idea. Unless Beasley agrees to the MMLE, how exactly are we supposed to get him? The only answer I've ever gotten to this question is that Minnesota will sign and trade him here for a 1st rounder. Well if that's the case and Minnesota was going to do that, then why would they go out of their way to let him expire just to re-sign him and trade him here when they could've essentially done the same exact thing only earlier by trading him for the 1st at the deadline? Yes, I understand the other 1st was to move Fisher's contract for an expiring, but if Beasley were actually a feasible option and the Lakers were as hellbent as reported on acquiring him then don't you think they would've pulled out all the stops for a championship this year and traded that 1st to Minnesota instead of Houston? Or better yet, why didn't they agree on trading the 2013 pick to Minnesota back at the trade deadline? Since that's what people think will happen anyway.

This isn't aimed at you btw, I just had to let it out now because I might forget to later.

Odom wont be a Laker for a few reasons. For one they got rid of him for a REASON and probably not just money. 2) He cant sign on with LA until december. The season starts in november. I highly doubt if he is seriously about playing in the league again will he turn down lucrative offers only to wait and see IF the Lakers are interested in taking him. 3rd, LA is interested in moving FORWARD. Bynum and a young PG whether it be Sessions or LA playing the FA market for years to come will be the centerpiece of the franchise. They would be better off going after Michael Beasley than going after Odom. Only way Odom plays in LA is if he signs for a vet mininum and I just doubt a guy that just made 9 million is going to sign up for 1.3 million when he could easily get 5 million from a contender.

^I agree with those reasons. I think Odom will sign a short-term deal with Miami.

Once again, Odom wants to play in LA. He has already said this, or so it's been reported. There's only two teams in LA, the Lakers and Clippers. Unless he backs off that stance from when him wanted LA to whenever free agency starts, if he isn't a Clipper on opening day then he'll sit out a month and be a Laker. Which is why I said, he'll be a Laker if he wants to be one. A month isn't that long of a wait.

He was traded because he wasn't fully committed to playing basketball with filming that abortion of a TV show. TV show is gone now and he's focusing on getting back in basketball shape. And I thought the idea was to win now, that's what everyone on this board tells me when I go on a tangent about us trading draft picks. How is Beasley better for us than a focused, committed, and in shape Lamar Odom? Especially if Pau is indeed getting traded. As far as Beasley, I just spent the time to type that long paragraph out about the situation. If Beasley ever was even truly an option, I think he'd be a Laker by now.

1. just because Lakers can't sign Odom till December doesn't mean that they can't come to a verbal agreement in the off season.

2. just because he made 9 mil this season doesn't mean he will be offered anything close to that. his value is really low and he is not in control of how much he will get paid.

3. LA is a priority for him and Khloe. only 2 teams in LA.

4. Miami may be an option Khloe can live with, but she wants to do only the Kardishians (based in LA).

5. Lakers may sign him for cheap.

1. odom's still under contract with the mavs. he hasn't been waived yet

2. he's guaranteed 2.4 mil in his buyout next season, him taking the vet's min would equate to earning 3.XX mil next year anyway

3. (unless the kings move to anaheim)

4. maybe, miami has an interest in everyone

5. do it mitch

Miami doesnt have the capspace for Odom unless he wants a vet minimum. Im quite sure Odom can land more than that.

KG for mini MLE
Ray Allen S&T 2yrs/10mill for Odom tpe

Celtics board crash due to all the Laker hate :).....as to OP question, even if we got a 3rd team like Hou, I dont think they have the pieces anymore that Nets would want for Deron. Also while my sig doesn't help my case but you guys are gona seriously miss Pau and so will Bynum when it comes to his offense.

Short story: Money and pride. And, having alternatives.

As an analogy:

Jessica Alba at her new film opening announces that she dumped your ass for being broke. You try to rebound with Jennifer Love Hewitt. But, you find you can't get it up with her anymore. She calls you an impotent (and broke) loser. Jessica Alba calls you back, but only if you promise to work overtime to support her louis vuitton habit. Your friends are clowning you, because hey, they expect you'll go back to her, tail between the legs. Suddenly, you get a phone call. Adriana Lima is on the line, and she heard you were single.

What would you do?

Sorry for the dated "hot chick" references, I am getting old.

Pretty on point with the Kate Upton reference. She's good looking and all but I see women every day that out do her easily. I think people just have this infactuation with young females. Being 26 now, I dont see why any man is overly excited about a 19 year old female. Give me someone that already has life experience lol.
