+1
And not just beating them on the scoreboard either... We need to beat them physically like we were last game. Our only chance is to wear them down and get them in a trench war of a 70-80pt game.

+! all it takes is one laker blowing okc out at home and all the "analyst" will say they have a chance again lol. one blowout will put mental doubt on that young squad. Its just funny to see when youre home all those shots just fall in...even and mostly bench players.

Love that grangsta has no respect for bron, his offense took a hit due to guarding him tho same with george.

there was only 1 season that this would happen ever since I've been following the lakers, and that is the 00-01 season.

I agree... IMO the teams in the most trouble are (in order) the Clips, Heat, and the Lakers after those two.

If the Lakers can take care of the ball and continue to establish their Bigs in the paint area they will be just fine.

obviously the heat are in the least trouble in terms of danger of losing the series quickly, but the most in the sense that if they get knocked out in the second round, it'll be a catastrophe for them. they're expected to not only beat the pacers, but advance to and win the finals, so they have a lot more to lose and a lot less to gain, speaking in terms of perception.

Lakers wern't expected to do much this season anyway.
After struggling against a Hornets team in the first round and getting swept by Dallas in the second round, with a new coach, new offense, and shortened season they weren't expected to do much at all. The Clippers were expected to be better than the Lakers this season. Clippers right now have a bigger hill to climb than the Lakers do. The Lakers match up well with the Thunder and show that they can win this series.

The Heat are expected to win a championship this year, after failing to do so last year. They will probably use the excuse that they didn't have their 3rd option, but when Rose went down, they said that injuries are part of the game. Even without Bosh, the Heat had the easiest road to the championship with Key players form contending teams being out.

But if they go down in the second round, all that pressure they're under to not only win but be a dynasty is going to mount exponentially.

Suddenly their championship pedigree, which was a foregone conclusion, is looking pretty bleak, especially with good young teams like OKC and Indiana coming up and Wade potentially on the decline. You could be looking at a wholesale implosion on a historic level.

And then LeBron...I couldn't even imagine what would be going through his head.

i see what yr saying, id counter that they are all still young enough to re-build, re-load etc...

kobe and pau are seeing the sun starting to set in the distance...

thats true, at least its at home...but for **** sake, it is brutal...

though if the lakers pull out the win...it just may be the crucible/trial by fire /tune up they needed...

I think L.A. has a shot of turning it around. I went back and looked at the results of the first two games and the first half of this one and it's clear where the Lakers lost points. Right at the beginning of the second and fourth quarters the Lakers fell into an ugly slump where they were absolutely wrecked by OKC for what seems like 5 points each time. Add that up and it's the game. If L.A. can adjust their rotations they can win game 4 and put some pressure on the Thunder.

I dont think anyone thought la had a shot after the first game. Then after the second game most still think we are doomed trying to win 4 of next 5. Now after game three theres hope? lots of masters of the obvious out there with the

"thats what ive been saying all along"
"if the lakers could do this and that we could win"
"as long as"
"wheres pau been?"
"this team lacks this and that, no way they can keep up"
"they dont have the personnel"

Just a rant, but i find it amusing esp from all the NBA espn "analyst"

Tomorrows game could change talks completely. Even if the Lakers lost by 1 with a Durant 80ft prayer.

http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:7950224

^ this exactly what i was talking about....all of a sudden "ya spurs are the best team in the league right now" well no ****?? what happened to the clips when they was "for reals" and kicking ass during the season...everyone praises the obvious. Had these analyst predicted spurs are the best from the start of the season then theres credibility. Everyone just stating what they are seeing right now, its like ok??? anyone could do this job.
