Wow, I mean, I know 9 dollars isn't nearly enough to actually buy the franchise as it would be more like $13, and everyone knows this. And I know Gek can be ridiculous, but the most idiotic post on RealGM? And pleading it be locked? Sheesh.

Thanks for having my back. If you know how to bartend I'll make you a scout.

well.... when baseball salaries and the cost of running an organization skyrocketed, the OMalley family felt they couldnt afford to run team in its new economy and sold the Dodgers.

Fans, especially ones in NY, Bos, and LA, dont give a crap about finances. They want owners like Arte Moreno, who just doesnt give a f*ck. Swallow $20 mil of GMJrs contract, trade for Wells $80 mil... doesnt work out?... sign Pujols for $250 mil.

The Laker organization have made some moves the last couple of years purely for money saving purposes. This is a premium organization in a premium market charging premium dollars and receiving premium benefits. OP has a discussionable point.

We'll see what they do with Pau and how this offseason plays out. Remember in the Pau/Paul trade, the Lakers were able to save a ton on salary before the trade was nixed. That gets lost because of the quality we were able to get back.

How does that make you better than the Lin, Gallo, and Wil fans who root for them over NY?

OP does NOT have a point. It is idiotic. Time Warner deal alone just disproves any point he had suggested. Again we are all dumber for reading the OP's thread.

The Vujacic, Odom, and Fisher trades were cost cutting trades. The Vujacic TPE was never used. They used up a 1st round draft pick to get rid of Fishers contract. And the Odom TPE wont be used either.

There will probably be trades this offseason. Those trades will result in some measure of money saving. Hopefully for the Lakers and their fans it will also improve the team.

This whole thread is ridiculous and really speaks to how spoiled some of us Laker fans are. So the fact the team just didnt win 2 years in a row means that the team should be sold? Nothing last forever. Just wait it and wait for the team to make moves for the short and long term. They just won 2 rings 2 years ago.

Buss family will never sell the team. If the Dodgers are worth 2 bil, how much are the Lakers worth.

2,000 straight sell outs and a 3 billion TV deal. That mean if the Lakers somehow lost a billion running the team over the next 25 years, they are still worth 25 billion and w/ sellouts they are worth a WHOLE LOT MORE!
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!
