Lakers get: D-Will, Lopez, Millsap
Nets get: Harris, Bynum, fillers.
Jazz get: Pau, fillers.
Insert fillers for salaries where needed.
Lopez is trash...no way we trade both our bigs and not land atleast D12 in the process and to people that keep saying Millsap is a downgrade from Pau. Well no ****. This trade just isnt about upgrading over Pau. Thats not the point. The point is to get younger, get rid of his salary while you can get good players for him and get other players that can spread the floor. You cant make changes by playing it safe. What good is Pau and his double doubles in the reg season when he doesnt bring it to the playoffs? Especially when he is making 19 plus million?
A #10 pick who had career averages of 17, 8, and 2 blocks a game is trash? He's a top 10 center in the game, you would be picking up one of the best PG's in the game, and shedding two huge contracts. Not saying I would be all for it, but this is definitely the best deal being thrown out there.
Also, with this deal we get EXACTLY what I bolded from your post.
Lopez for the last 2 years has avgd about 6 rebounds a game, while Milsap avgs about 8-9. We cant afford to have one bad rebounding big with another slightly about par one. Im all for trading either of Pau and Bynum but no both unless we land D12 in the deal. Brook Lopez has some good scoring stats but overall the guy isnt good and is will never be the big that makes a team a contender.
