We're not talking about Iggy's offense dude.

We're talking about his ability to play PG.

I agree about his offense (although he could and would average more here).

Micro made the comment that Iggy can't guard PGs and that he can't handle the ball.

To which I replied that he's every bit the PG that Westbrook is. I don't care about how many points Westbrook averaged or how many Iguodala averaged.

Iggy cn defend and handle as well as Westbrook.

Westbrook scores more, Iggy passes more.

Stay focused man!

Iggy is a good passer from his position on the wing and the 3 position but actually a full time PG? No. He isnt Lebron James. Westbrook actually averaged 8.2 ast last year. This year it was down for whatever reason. This year they both avg 5.5 ast a game. So that shows that Iggy shoots less and gets the same amt of assist. Not actually a blueprint for a good PG. The only way I can see Iggy playing PG with LA is if they were running the Triangle. It would be similar to what Ron Harper was to MJ. No way he comes down and is effective at setting up an offense that makes this team better than they were this season, especially at the expense of Pau Gasol. We cant lose a post player and scoring only to replace him with a wing that isnt a scorer and above par passer that isnt a true PG. Not good.

It's not about saving the Lakers 10 million, it's about saving the Lakers 50+ million once the crazy tax kicks in.

You can't just compare salaries, because it's not about individual salaries, the problem is the luxury tax threshold.

And if Gasol is going to be gone, which it looks like he will because the Lakers don't have the insight to trade Bynum instead, he poses the best chance for the Lakers to cut salary. An Iguodala swap just doesn't offer enough savings to make a difference.

Again, the most likely trade will be young cheap talent, draft pick(s), and expiring contracts for Gasol.

i wonder if NO's willing to trade the 10th pick since they got the 1st pick already.

jack, landry/kaman (both are expirings), 10th pick for gasol?

If it was Kaman I think I would do that deal, from what I remembered he played pretty well this season. Also, who's someone we could realistically get with the 10th pick?

I support the move for Kendall Marshall if not Austin Rivers.

I'd rather take Houston's Lowry and the 14th pick.

An Iggy/Kobe/Ron backcourt would be hella nice, defensively excellent, offensively all 3 can score in multiple ways. I'd do an Iggy/Brand for Pau/Blake/McRoberts and a 1st trade.

I would take PJ3 or Jeremy Lamb if he is available, and if both are not I'll take Kendall Marshall.

Can Iggy play PG for long periods of time? I guess it could work if Sessions comes back but he's moved to the bench.

Iggy isnt a PG. But he is a facilitator of the offense. He has done it for years. You can play Iggy as the point forward and just let Kobe be Kobe and just get a PG that can shoot the 3. Supposedly its going to be an Iggy for Gasol or Al Jefferson deal.

I like Iggy but I have a hard time letting Bynum stick around to take over this team. Iggy would be an awesome wing though, but I'd really miss Pau compared to Bynum :(

Hey guys. Bynum or Gasol? Who do you keep or who do you trade. I for one would keep Bynum.I am just hoping for Gasol or Al Jefferson for Iggy.

14th pick could land Terrence Jones maybe.
